I put maybe $500 in Super Monday Night Combat. I wanted it to do well despite them losing the best part of the game in Mickey Cantor, but I stopped playing 3 months or so before they added Artemis.
Once I saw they made an update for the free hero rotation to be random so they could just stop updating the game and forget about it, I knew it was irredeemable. The worst part is I still have a ton of shit in the game like the PAX costumes, and none of it is fucking marketable on the Steam Community Market.
Bloodline Champions. I haven't even tried playing it recently, I'm just assuming it's dead because the website hasn't updated in years and I read an article bemoaning its death.
I gave the devs some money when I played it because I really did find the game fun, but ultimately I helped contribute to its death because I simply moved on and stopped playing.

I also agree with you guys. It took them too long to fix how much they damaged with Gears 2. It got much better once they finally patched the hell out of it but I feel Gears 2 did probably do to much damage to the series as a whole. So much so that I was actually not going to buy Gears 3 at first. I felt burned with how broken 2 was at launch.
I still play it sometimes but you need actual players to do some of the fun stuff
