As for the gamepad as a controller? It's pretty comfy in my opinion, but that's just an opinion. If you're concerned about having to draw out the shapes on the touchscreen, you can do it with the right joystick, which is how you should do it anyways.

I think there's a certain fear of disagreeing with her, or at least the core of the message she's using. Most people DO want equal opportunity in the industry, and I suppose the perception is that by not agreeing with her, you're very easily labelled as a sexist.
The problem is, her videos are just accusations of sexism and misogyny, and they're not really doing anything to support women getting into the industry or any kind of positive change. It's just snark and negativity, which seems to be a particularly common thread in gaming media.
