Actually just started P4G. Never actually beat the PS2 version. A lot of things are different and I'm not even past the first month. Any advice on someone that hasn't played in a while and really only knows of the PS2 version?

Haven't faced Yukiko's shadow yet but I heard it's MUCH easier. But really most first SMT bosses are a pain because of the lack of any spells.
Notice cards don't move around and you just pick them. Personally I like that but I don't know what others feels about it. I don't really remember enemy weakness but sucks analyzing them doesn't really reveal anything like 3. I would rather it spends a few rounds looking them up to get a good detail on their stats than just remember what I did to them and see if it worked.

You can social link Fuuka, Yukari, Mitsuru and Aigis, but they only open up later into the game (I think it's June for Fuuka, July or August for Yukari, November for Mitsuru and January for Aigis) and all but Aigis requires a maxed social stat.

All the other links are really up to you, just go for the characters you really like
I wouldn't suggest going for all,just play how you want, getting all of them is not a good way to spend your first playthrough, just do what seems right, and in a later playthrough you can try for all

Oh I got about where they were at Kanji and even after they were basically yelled at for not doing Social Links they still kept going into the dungeons over Social Links. I dont understand how this game was so overrated, every character was fucking retarded. It had anime levels of terrible plot with almost as bad tropes. Combat was final fantasy except you can only control your own character and hope to god your party doesnt heal the boss or use marin karin for the 99th time in a row.
Most of the side s.link characters were more enjoyable than the main cast of faggots you have to use. Actually scratch that because they have terrible plot behind them too, literally every single s.link character goes something like "somebody in my family died, just tell me the things I want to hear not actually good advice and Ill be your friend forever!".
While it was enjoyable to play for some reason the plot and dialog was pathetic, if I wanted to watch a shitty anime I would go watch a shitty anime. 6/10 game, thanks for the overhype weaboos

Aigis' social link doesn't open up until like 20 days before the game ends. You need to dedicate yourself to her as soon as it opens up, and I'd recommend getting an Aeon persona at some point late in the game to speed it up if you can. No social stats required though.

When you spend a day with someone, and stuff actually happens, it indicates it is a level up day. Choices made in the level up day will cause differing amounts of happy notes to appear. Getting more happy notes pushes you closer towards the next rank.
Hanging out with someone but not having anything happen indicates that you're making progress towards the next level up. "Your relationship may become closer soon" means the next hang-out will level it up.

What do I do? Fight less and gain less 3 or 4 xp I get from battlin'? Is there a way to raise that stat and take more to get fatigued?
