Has Olimar always hit like a fucking truck? I couldn't get into him at all in Brawl, but he's pretty awesome now.

I haven't yet played a character I haven't enjoyed in Sm4sh, I love it. These two are the primary sources of my time though. Honorable mentions to Shulk, Captain Falcon, Charizard, and Mega Man.
Dedede was my main in Brawl. Always loved the big guy. He's changed so much but for the better. Crazy staying power, actual combos out of throws, incredible tilts, and an amazing offstage presence that now includes a meteor smash. Plus let's not forget those Gordos, dangerous but so versatile and powerful.
Greninja is almost the polar opposite but I enjoy him all the same. Shurikens are great, his recovery is excellent, awesome smashes and tilts, and lots of tricksy maneuvers with Hydro Pump and Shadow Sneak. Just a bit disappointed in his counter. Nothing beats reappearing onstage behind a edgeguarder for the KO.I chose Chespin in X, though...

It's called "playing the game for a few hours". The unlock requirements are very lenient, the most painful way to unlock a characters is 120 matches.

Also, why is it that once I got knocked off the stage its almost impossible for me to get back on? Everyone's edge guarding game is just too powerful for me. Bowser Jr., Robin, and Little Mac's in particular. Maybe its because they're new characters, but I usually end up aerial dodging their first attack but as soon as I land on the ground they can hit me perfectly. How exactly is shielding and dodging different in this game?
Charizard is the only one I feel comfortable with so far but I'm thinking of picking up Duck Hunt for aerials and projectiles.

Marth was my old main. Concerning both him and Lucina, it's not hard to switch between the two since they're practically the same. Mostly play as Marth, Lucina if I feel like waifufagging.
Also play Robin, Peach, Dark Pit and Falco every now and then. Trying to pick up Ness, but he feels completely different from before, it's kinda hard to adjust.
