Hardest decision I've ever made was in L4D2 - I had the defib unit and was trying to find a guy's body among a pile of corpses, and another guy was yelling at me that it was just a bot and it wasn't worth saving.
That bot had been my friend up until he left a few minutes ago. We fought our way through the city together, helped each other out when we were wounded, traded thank yous and a few small jokes.And this was the last mission, we needed the firepower.
Eventually I just had to let him go.
