Pathologic probably, meeting the Albino in Bachellor's scenario.
It's very difficult to explain how they have achieved that, but it's a master moment in videogames.
IPL are generally very good at this. Similarly strong moments can be found in The Void and Knock-Knock as well.
Also, the Staircase of Fire scene in Silent Hill 2.

I have always used to be a fan of horror games.
But recently, my nerves have become more weaker than before.
I used to play horror games like Silent Hill 2 and 3 alone in the dark and enjoying being scared.
The SH2 hospital and the mirror room in SH3 freaked me out.
Homecoming and Downpour was Meh.
Sadly, I become more scared easierly lately, which is a sham I guess. I don't know why my nerves has become as weak as they are now. Me, or just the graphic become more realistic.

They say they are so sorry, but they are no longer human and then they say they love you and kill themselves.

No ghosts or monsters that you know could never actually get you. It's a totally twisted recollection of half-truths about bullying and abuse. To deal with the PTSD. At that point in the game howeverDeathhead makes you pick a character to sacrifice his brain for his Nazi science, both characters were at that point well received and developed, so it was hard. In the beginning of the game, it just cuts to black, but at the end of the game the final boss is actually the person you picked brain inside of a robot complete with dialogue that says shit like "kill me", and the ending scene actually shows in brutality the procedure used to get the person you choses' brain.

I can't really get into horror games, they aren't really scary to me. I the most disturbing stuff is like extensive body horror where the person is still alive and they fully realize what happened to them. That's always interesting and there are many way you could go with that.
>>263916754
I accidentally got Silent Hill 4 when trying to dowload GTA San Andreas from DC++. The whole thing about a kid being abandoned in his home and growing up to believe that an apartment was his mother was pretty disturbing. Not to mention that he tried to "wake up" his mother with a ritual of sacrificing 21 people. And when the superintendent mumbled about the umbilical cord he had kept for some reason starting to smell, I was all ewwkay? I could almost smell that shit when I got to the super's room.
Needless to say I got the rest of the SH series after that. That's how I ended up playing the series basically in the order from worst to best.

That fucking hanged man in the kitchen got me."Darkness is coming"
I don't have the stomach to play Manhunt, which bothers me because it seem like an interesting series.
It wasn't really disturbing, but it gave me a sense of dread that I never get from games.
In SCP containment breach, I had always feared the 'Old Man' because of the way he slowly walks after you with that drum beat playing. Reading all the details on him also made him seem like something that was truly evil. That's why I was afraid of him, not his appearance but instead the story behind him.
I eventually stumbled into a room with a heavily locked door and a sign that said it led to his containment cell. With a picture of his grinning face staring at me from the sign I first thought to just leave, but curiosity eventually caused me to enter his 'home'.
When I stepped inside I was on a balcony overlooking a massive room, so gigantic that the corners of it were hidden by darkness. In the centre was that giant ominous cube, surrounded by an electric fence and levitating quietly above the ground. I found a path that led me down to the ground level floor, and seeing the cube up close, where the Old Man hibernated, gave me some sort of uneasy feeling. Like the place was evil, and I wasn't supposed to be there - I've never felt something like that from a video game before.
I was filled with dread, so I turned to sprint out of the room. I didn't hear the drumbeat playing, I guess, because when I turned to leave the Old Man was returning to his home.
For such a low budget game, I didn't think it would do things like that to me.Also sorry about writing a fucking novel, I don't know what I'm doing really

Does that make sense?

>>elina scene
I was not at all ready for that. The game had seemed so lighthearted until that point too... well, aside from that strange hate cannon that the empire had been using, but seriously, that was a fucking tragic way to end Nina's quest.
The chapters where you play as the little gril in Siren were absolutely fucking batshit insane. I almost couldn't handle it.

the closest of disturbing I ever felt while playing vidya
>>263957172
I'm a huge pussy when it comes to spookiness and gore
So, naturally I watched all the death scenes just to see how gross it was.
Wasn't as bad as I thought, the only thing that really got to me was the screams, but they seemed few and far between
>>263957316
>first jumpscare as a child was when he jumped out of a fucking painting

I went in thereTo find the ship
'Just follow the light, but which light?
Oh, I know, I'll go to this one, wait, is it moving?'
Game is Outer Wilds, involves some space travel in a small system, a fair few planets, all with their own little stories and environments. Not sure on official release date, but its latest version is out free as a demo.
majoras mask made me suicidal. effigy of emptiness
First level of Marine campaign in Aliens vs Predator 2010
Pity it turns into a generic shooter after that level.

>that part in AA3 whereDahlia's soul comes out of Maya and it's all evil. The screen goes black behind her, her hair starts waving all over the place, her eyes go white, her face becomes twisted in rage, her scream filling your ears as she disappears
I was playing that at 1 in the fucking morning, with no lights. Never again.
Fucked me up as a child no doubt about it, plus it was fucking solid to beat
"That sucks"

>>263916754
team fortress slowly turning into hat fortress
thats the most disturbing thing I saw in vidya
>>263919124
I was living with stoners a couple of years back, they saw it in a bargin bin and then sunk literally months into that game
>>263954146
Man, Outlast was so disappointing. Just boring jump scares and running away from enemies got tedious really fast.
This shit
This fucking shit right here made my heart race.
>>263958949
I "enjoy" it 1000x more while stoned. I can't handle it.
>>263957998
Was that the PSX one? I dont remember the painting
Well, I could say Silent Hill Shatered Memories deliver the: "This game will play with you as much as you play with it"
So yeah, that game fucked me up.
This fucking part in Prey fucked me up bad
http://youtu.be/8sp_7NU_Dq8?t=2m36s
the entire game was fucking crazy
>>263955787Getting my hand on the elephant gun and blowing away that fucker with both barrels was the most satisfying thing in vidya for me.

I've got mixed feelings about the game thinking back on it.
I feel like there's this whole bunch of dragging sections between the intro abduction sequence and when you finally find out what happens to your girlfriend
That and I remember you couldn't actually die, you'd just go to your indian spirit realm to recover health
>>263935056
Fucking this.
>>263959834
jesus fucking christ how did they manage to get away with that without any kind of shit storm happening?
that's nuggin futs
>>263961967

Dude, that shit almost made me cry.
Tales of Symphonia really gave me some shit to think about as a youngster. Good and evil, who can you really trust...I fucking loved that game to death, man. Still do.
>>263940509
Have you noticed howthe guy in a high hanging cage keeps disappearing and reappearing?
>tfw no horror game about skin walkers
Closest, I guess would be that shitty The Thing game
>>263938961
...Jesus, man.
THe first one I remember getting me is in bioshock in the dentists office, you go into a hidden area with a thick fog, and as you wander in blindly, you show up in front of a desk with a plasmid, and you grab it and turn around to leave to have one of the doctor splicers just 2 feet from your face.
I flipped out and hit him dead, and kept hitting the corpse to make myself feel better.it didn't help
>>263959834
Prey is the only game ive ever played that was so boring i couldnt force myself to even slog through it

>tfw you find out that the reason Red spoke so strangely and poem-like is because he grew up alone from the age of 14 with only shakespeare books for company
>playing an empty server on some zombie sandbox game I cant remember, possibly Day Z
>walking around generally looking for a nic eplace to camp and defend
>walking to disused station when see a person standing on a balcony
>hide in forrest and watch with binoculars to make sure what it is
>keep checking to make sure nobody else in the server
>not a zombie by his model animations but definately not a human player since nobody in server
>guy is staring out so I move closer to get a better look
>suddenly he swings around staring right at me
>staring for about two minutes
>he walks inside through the door
>still nobody in the fucking server
went looking for him inside but found literally nothing. There was no way he should have spotted me from that far off and it still spooks me how nobody was in the server
Back in the day The Hidden was pretty spooky. I was also 16 at the time so who knows.

overrated scene
The fact that smashing the fuck out of people in Condemned 2 got me hard.
Most visceral, satisfying melee combat in any video game. The sound design was perfect.
>>263937471
He may be an asshole but the entire scene could've been done better, Duke is a ladies man after all.

Disturbed as in scared, or in the broader sense?
If it's the latter, pic related.

>>263974087
What's going on?
Fucking Arx Fatalis
>going deep into the lower levels without being prepared
>the sound design giving you a choked feeling
>the rat men hunting you from the shadows, appearing out of nowhere and making you scream with thrown poisoned daggers
>the unidentifiable giant worm-flesh sacks
>being trapped in that long corridor with a rapidly advancing giant worm that you can't really kill without Harm abuse
>the far-off hissing of the snake women promising a safe area you're cut off from and have to go back into the dark
>EVERY SINGLE THING ABOUT THE DWARF LEVEL
