Video games still (understandably) has the stigma of being for the young and immature. Everyone will confront the topic of sex in real life, but killing is strictly fantasy for most people. Of course there are people for whom having sex is as mythical an experience as killing is, but welp. Killing is also fun for game playing experience, while sex isn't so much and is not necessary.
As for rape, I suppose it's considered something more deranged and animalistic than killing. There can be good reasons to kill; even murder can be complex and the ethics disputed. The same can't be said for rape. People can go on killing sprees in video games and that can be seen as just fucking around, but raping someone touches sex and unethical, bestial behavior, done against another's will.
