To be honest, the team should have stopped with Roy and Mewtwo. There is a paradox with adding newcomers. If you add in who people want, you end up pandering to a vocal minority and losing the flavor and feel of a Sakurai roster. If you try to make a Sakurai roster, your picks come under scrutiny for being too obscure, especially if you fail.
In short, you can't appease everyone,and the Smash/PM fans have the worst taste in newcomers.

it brings a level of legitimacy to the project, a lot of their modelers are the best of the best as far as brawl modding goes and their skins are held to higher standard and are better rigged, textured, compressed properly as to not make gameplay lag with 4+ players and with facial animations. Can't say that about most skins available elsewhere.
Masked DeDeDe didn't even have a fix for the jet hammer animation until someone from the PMBR fixed and updated everything about the skin.

I found this out by downloading one of the PM devs builds that he made with tons of character costumes and shit, and the background was called background logo2 or some shit.
I edited it easily but then he had other shit added like meteors falling in the background which I couldn't remove without crashing the game.
any questions I shoot to him he answers really stupidly and for some reason decided to not make a tutorial.
smashboards also doesn't have any tutorials on it as well as any other site I look at. the help section will get no questions answered because its all basic shit that is repeatedly asked.

Healing items are annoying, maxim tomatoes in partucular
Bombs and hammers are pretty much a requirement to turn off
Bumper is best item
Problem is there is no reason to ever actually use an item. They're all best used as projectiles despite whatever their actual purpose may be and that's fucking boring. I want to play Smash Bros, not an item chucking simulator. Items are fun in moderation but they aren't objectively better than without items like some people try to say.
I thought most people played without items anyway, nobody I knew ever used them seriously.

I think it's got a lot to do with Brawl's default items. I hate the dragoon pieces, TWO different hammers, homerun bat takes too much time to use etc
I'll go back and play 64 and the items are a blast to use. Not only are they fun but the SOUNDS are so much more satisfying. Brawl's items sounds barely make noise.
