For those that think these are all main installments, they're not. There are mobile card games, side scrollers, Facebook games etc.
As for main installments this year raises it to 8, two more games are countable for being on PSP and Vita. Admittedly it's a lot, but 16 actual games in 7 years isn't an accurate idea without context.
