Heavy Rain never explains the significance of Ethan's blackouts.

Any JRPG ever that has UWWWAAAAAAAAAA!! main character power boost retardation, or some out of fucking nowhere "real" main villain

Dragon's Dogma never explains how the Seneschal didn't kill himself out of boredom in 5 minutes like the rest of us.

they should coat that hole with that 100% dark shit

That's not a plot hole that's called suspending your disbelief. Unless suddenly everything less than plausible in vidya is a plot hole.

>Dragon's Dogma never explains how the Seneschal didn't kill himself out of boredom in 5 minutes like the rest of us.

He didn't have the Godsbane, did he? I think you had to beat him in order to use the one that was inside him or some shit, so that new Arisens could take his place if they wanted to, and then you had your own pocket one from beating Grigori that you used on yourself.

There are no games with plotholes because if there is something missing it's an artistic choice to make the experience more cinematic.

Anything from David Cage. I enjoyed Heavy Rain. It's fun to play but after playing it for the 2nd time or watching a playthrough, you realise that there are 10more plotholes that you thought there were.

Booker splits at the baptism. Either
1. He doesn't go through with the baptism, stays as himself, and has Anna/Elizabeth
or
2. He goes through with the baptism, becomes Comstock, gets involved with Rosalind Lutece, and steals Anna/Elizabeth away from Booker

Killing him before he makes a choice means Elizabeth wouldn't be born. But, if you want to argue that she can be born somehow in a different universe because of CONSTANT ND VARIABLE or something like that, there's still Burial at Sea, which just ruins everything gameplay and story wise.

>Heavy Rain never explains the significance of Ethan's blackouts.
They had this supernatural theme going like in Fahrenheit and Beyond, but then decided to cut it later in development, which fucked up the whole plot - "lo I saw your resolve when you tried to save your kid - something my father didn't have - and now we have this bond that makes you fold origami and see drowning bodies I AIN'T GONNA EXPLAIN SHIT".

>>254971310
>Heavy Rain never explains the significance of Ethan's blackouts.

The original plan was that Ethan and the killer were psychically linked due to shared trauma, because the killer witnessed Jason dying and it reminded him of his own tragic childhood in turn. When Ethan blacked out, he was getting overwhelmed by the killer's mental state.

Someone apparently realized that this was too retarded, even for a David Cage game, and cut it out without removing it from the story entirely because they didn't give a shit.

But according to the game, the true story line is where Booker and Elizabeth fuck with anything, get involved with those revolutionaries in that dimension that they don't belong in where Suchond and Fink also happen to be exchanging ideas and Elizabeth from a different time also fucks with everything in Rapture and somehow sets up Bioshock 1.

Infinite should have just been adventures with some girl with huge tits that can open wormholes or something and you have to stop generic bad guy.

Metroid Primes weapons and armor were mechanical.

Originally, the explanation was that it took them from the Space Pirates but they way into his lair is lock with those keys so that couldn't have happened, so they got rid of that explanation but never put in any sort of replacement.

I hated it, but if you njoyed that, you will love bioshock 2. Bioshock 1 is still a good game, but it aged a little more, it goes like a fetch quest and you either hold yor gun or your power, can´t do both. Bioshock 2 has the drill, the drill and the motherfcking drill, plus now you can use plasmids and guns at the same time.

Armor was "developed", as well as the mechanical weapons. other weapons were acquired

"Test subject Z-d, hereafter referred to as Metroid Prime, was recently discovered in a cavern by mining crews. It quickly dispatched the miners, but was eventually contained by security units and drones. Once contained, we were able to begin studies upon Metroid Prime. The results have been astonishing. It is genetically similar to a Metroid, albeit on a high evolved level. It displays a limitless capacity for Phazon infusion and shows no Phazon-based degeneration whatsoever. It continues to grow in size, and while it has manifested some psychotic behavior, the cold field we use to pacify remain effective. Authorization for advanced studies on Metroid Prime have been approved."
cont
>>
>>254975984
"Metroid Prime continues to feed and grow ever larger in the impact crater caves. Its hunger knows no bounds, and it has begun to manifest unusual mutations since its breach. These include armor plating on its epidermis and mechanical outgrowths that generate defense screens. These screens render it invulnerable to most weapon systems, but a flaw in the mutation leads to increased vulnerability to certain weapons. It compensates for this by shifting the screens quickly. This latest development concerns Security units greatly: they feel it's a matter of time before Metroid Prime corrects this defect and renders itself invulnerable to all weaponry. Containment would be nigh impossible if this were to occur."
Prime Breach "Subject Metroid Prime's breach has been contained. Reports indicate that it sensed a large batch of raw Phazon in the lab from within its stasis tank and broke through the glass, using previously unsuspected strength. Besides consuming all of the Phazon, Metroid Prime assimilated several weapons and defense systems from fallen security units. It has suffered no ill effect from said assimilation: indeed, it began to use its newly acquired weapons against us. Once we pacified it, we were unable to remove the assimilated gear without threat to Metroid Prime — the gear is now an integral part of its body. Command is intrigued by this newfound ability, and has ordered further study to commence at once."

and don't bother bringing "jumping" into it, if you can make a 200 ton robot jump you can damn well make a 50 ton tank jump. Would even be better at it than the robot because its legs wouldn't snap from the forces when landing

yup and that's the only reason mechs exist in games. They look good, but they're still walking plotholes.

Any attempts to actually justify usage of mechs or god forbid speculate about real life armies using them is moot

I mean in the Metal Gear games, the nuke delivery railgun would be significantly more effective if placed ontop of a submarine

>I'm definitely missing something here.

Which part?

Female cop in Farenheit fucks the zombie protagonist when there's literally zero reason for her to do so, because for most of the story he's a murderer and the times they're shown together have nothing in the way of establishing a relationship.

The only way I can see it making sense is if she wanted a good hard dicking before probably dying, and Mr. Protagonist was the only dick not attached to a hobo.

As for the other part, I'm referencing Star Wars Episode 2, where Padme/Anakin fall madly in love (and eventually marry) when every moment we see them together is some form of walking, idle chatter, complaining, or murder/megalomaniacal ranting.

It has been a long time since I watched it, but I think it was the spider saving him, THEN asura decided to climb back to life because her daughter was still in danger. It was not about asura "being so angry he resurrects", but about chackravatin manipulating him to continue his test and recreate the universe. Why did he decide to fight asura in a physical form and not simply outbullshit him with universal allmighty powers is beyond me though. But hey, its a plothole thread!

I really love the series, but there are a lot of plotholes here and there, even confined to a single game, that are never explained. >the nuke delivery railgun would be significantly more effective if placed ontop of a submarine
Like Arsenal Ge-- I mean, Outer Haven?

I think that the Metal Gear idea was a bipedal tank that could cover any kind of terrain (I think there was even a Peace Walker cutscene that proved the concept right) and (in case of REX) it would be invisible to radars, so they could fire a nuke from wherever they wanted.
>>
>>254992052

I like R.A.D. justification
Theres some lethal radiation in space that kills any life form on Earth. The earth is protected by the atmosphere, but humanity is doomed to never leave the Earth.
So they build the Meganites. They arent simple robots for war, they are avatars of humanity, to represent them outside Earth
Obviously this is just so they can have giant robots fighting each other, but still. not too bad for a justification.

If you go with that line of reasoning, even the ICB-railgun itself is beyond retarded. At least the original MG1-2 bipedal-with nuclear warhead tank idea is physically possible and more believable than that. You just need to loosen your disbelief for those parts of the game.
