Guys, it's important to understand why things are being censored to preserve ratings in America.
In Japan there is an established 'otaku' culture. The game developers know for a fact that despite these games appearing to be kiddy shit, only certain people are going to buy them and therefor they can do whatever they want without fearing an increased rating.
However, American marketing/sales teams are very far behind the times in realizing this. When something that looks like kiddy shit is dropped into their laps, their immediate reaction to to try to market it as kiddy shit despite the fact that children aren't going to buy the product. So instead of letting it bump up to a T or M rating they feel the need to censor it and preserve their E rating.
One of the biggest reasons for this is probably the fact that in the west, parents buy their children M rated videogames all the time and then turn around and bitch about what content is in the games. Even if the games maintained a higher rating, the western localization team is going to probably have to deal with shitlords attacking the game for sexual content because they're too stupid to control the media their children experience. So it's much more easy and more safe to censor content and shoot for a kiddy shit rating than allow it be in for retards to bitch about.
Nobody is doing this because they're assholes or are trying to shit on the fanbase. Now I for one find it quite likely that NIS America is full of incompetent retards, but they can't help the situation they're being put in, which is localizing content that would be considered controversial in the West because Western parents can't control their own children and instead have to police everything.
