Forgive them for being slow, but honestly Japan shouldn't be doing it in the first place and it will dwindle the more they go for worldwide appeal.

Developers already stated, multiple times, across many games that Nintendo always had that kid friendly necessity. This seemed to manifest more in the Wii gen, when more adult oriented games sold poorly.
Now developers seem to pre-emptively censor everything to follow Nintendo's suit of doing it to their own games. Makes me want to avoid the NX.
They seem to want to coddle and choose for its audience, whether it be swap note or miiverse with their decreasing quality, I'm pretty much done. The Wii U has about 8 games in my library with 1 more I care about, the 3DS has been garbage past year 3 in catering to kids, so I think I'm done. I'll get most my shit on PC.
I guess I can say that if I were to never bought a Wii U at launch or a 3DS at XL launch, I wouldn't have missed out on anything important in gaming.

Remember though that there is a huge anti-black sentiment amongst a lot of Asian races. Skits like this and blackface in Jpop don't exist out of total kindness.
