They would be worth 17 dollars if they had 5 more of their more unique units. As is, they are not worth it. That said, apparently they will get new units when Wood Elves are added in a similar fashion. They will get mini-campaign in their little area of the map, and added to the grand campaign aswell.

The roster is small, but if you take out weapon swaps for the Dwarves aka the same unit but with great weapons or the same unit with shields, they are about even. Beastmen are missing some unique units that would have made them very worth the price.

Its got a dedicated fanbase. 18k peak daily players for a 60 dollar strategy game is pretty good. Multiple TW games are in the top 100 currently played on Steam.
The prices are comparatively higher than previous games because of the model work that has to go into races now. 10 dollar culture packs for Rome 2 added like 3 factions, but they were all humans all reskinned with insanely similar units that already existed in the base game. You basically paid 10 dollars for 3 new starting locations.
Warhammer requires alot more work on each faction than before. I would have preferred this cost 25 dollars and delayed a month if we could get like 5-6 more units and like comes with the blood DLC or something
