So I found this thing on Steam whilst looking for some new Metroidvanias. Does anyone know if it's any good? A fucking cute anime robot girl MC in a cyberpunk-ish setting is almost an instant buy for me, but some shit is seriously putting me off:
>"ironic" sjw shit in the fucking opening gameplay video
>Weird fucking 360 aiming reticule and physics instead of something like Metroid Fusion/Zero Mission's tight controls
>Dialogue seems pretty cringeworthy
Has anyone played it? Is it actually good, or should I not bother?
Also, Metroidvania thread. Which indie ones are actually worth getting?
The aiming takes getting used to. Their games always have silly dialogue. Its like two people making the game.
I don't recall the sjw shit though. Unless you mean the androids being treated like humans thing.

It's in the opening of the video on steam, the fat guy is talking sjw shit about male characters saving the world and 'his principles'. I get that it's supposed to be ironic, but it just seems kind of try-hard, and even as a joke that kind of character seems really fucking annoying if he features heavily in the story, which is what it looks like.
I'll give it the benefit of the doubt simply because it's so damn close to my ideal game. I'll probably try Rabi-Ribi first though, simply because it just seems to have tighter gameplay.
Thanks.

During the game he is only slightly like that when it comes to trusting "machines".
Nothing else SJW-likes comes out of him.

Fair enough. It just seemed like the game was going to be dialogue heavy, so the idea of that kind of 'comedic' dialogue was putting me off.
At least it looks like it has proper gamepad support, which is more than what could be said for Axiom Verge...
It's not really a Metroidvania, it's just Unepic in space

>trying to sell your shitty game on /v/
Kill yourself.
This here is also cute girl (not that much I know) MC in a cyberpunk setting
Bought and played during this last sale, liked it. 2D Deus Ex, combat is not great but the game has a lot going for it

I found it a lot more tolerable than Unepic.

I fucking swear you fags will call shill on anything these days.

Never played that one. Is it too linear to be Metroidvania or something? No neat progression abilities to unlock?
Is Metroidvania the best imaginary genre?
>>344266128
How is it imaginary?
>>344266170
Because it's not real.

No genres are real, anon. It's all fabricated.
