This quest made me go from liking the skellige deck to absolutely hating it. You really are fucked if you don't get a good hand. Even with a well built deck the chances are not in your favor, as opposed to decks such as nilfgaard or northern realms where even a bad hand can still win you the game in many games. I actually enjoyed it. The only frustrating part was Nilfgaard deck. The problem is that Nilfgaard and Northern Kingdoms are just so much better than other factions. Spies are OP and the more spies you have the easier it is to get Avallac'h, which is the most OP card in the game. Scoiatel is the worst deck in the game. Whether you go first or not doesn't matter, so their special ability is dog shit. Their gimmick is that a lot of cards can be either ranged or melee, but it doesn't matter because they are all weak as fuck. Then they have tons of healers, but they are all weak as fuck and they don't have any spy cards.
Nilfgaard is still the best for the medics and spy cards, even if NR has better spies.

I was pissed about no Dice Poker too at first, but Gwent is a million times better. Dice Poker was more of a "haha, yeah, here's a little shitty minigame thing" in the same sense that dice thing from Suikoden one. With Gwent, I will play it every single time I run into the "play Gwent" option, it's a superb minigame. And the card collecting aspect is perfect for an RPG. Sort of similar to FF8 in that regard, but still way better.

Gwent sucks ass. In order to win, even early on, you need either ridiculous luck or good cards. In order to get the good cards you need to win. Fucking ass. It would be better if there was an option on the map to keep track of the Gwent players you still have left to beat. I don't want to go to each fucking merchant guessing, and I get bored of it fast enough that I don't want to stick around nagging them for games of Gwent after I lose.

I cut every card worth less then 6 points and no ability, and every hero worth less then 12, and I still have 30 unit cards in the deck. Its rare that I draw more multiples of a muster card then I can redraw at the beginning. I almost always draw one vampire, and usually get the crones and endraga as well.

Yes, but thats only for the draw whatever card you want card, personally I have never really used that. His draw from discard card functions just like a medic though, and is extremely useful if you know you are going up against a spy deck.

spies out the ass, a good class ability, a great leader card, and powerful revivers. Nilfgaard is best and I don't think anybody would dispute that, it has no weaknesses.

Pretty well balanced, good class ability, spies. Not as good as Nilfgaard though.

Too dependent on having a certain card to warrant the use of other cards, Skellige decks have to be too inflated for my liking. Still, the class ability is best in the game. Leader cards are okay.

Gwent is literally all about faking out the cards of your opponent with the worst cards you have. wait until they pass and then play that weather card for easy round. Fake playing your good cards second round and lose. Bring them back third round with revive.
