As old as it is, I gotta endorse this

I think it's really good, especially the closure.

Too little of her out there. But It'd be nice.
Sadly no more Mara Jade.
Quick: what was the name of the ill-fortuned Twi'lek Jabba had tossed in the Rancor pit?
I'd like to see a good Leia/Winter out there. It could still be canon!

Someone from the EU before it was declared fully irrelevant.

Medically speaking, that's a bad idea. CPR is actually the best option right now.
Out with the bad air...
In with the good.
Admittedly, finding good SW yuri outside of the Clone Wars is difficult. If the EU hadn't been axed, maybe we could see some hot Dalaa-on-Mara Jade action. Alas.

She made Jedi on Sith action tolerable and fun.
Here's one I liked.

That pilot chick from the movie who talked a few times during the battle. Heard she's a bigger character in the novels.

agree. she really does care for the people she loves and she is not just a bloodthirsty sith.

Nice redhead.
Sometimes I wonder if we've gotten anything to do with her since last december. I quit due to getting bored after getting to the rebel base thing...
best one possible

not to be that guy, but doesn't that kinda defeat the whole purpose of being a Sith?
y'know, the whole "destructive, evil bad guys, that see love as a weakness and getting their loved ones killed as a part of becoming Sith in the first place, because of their twisted emotional state and their relentless thirst for power" thing?
I get that the KOTOR games kinda flipped the whole concept of good vs evil on it's head, but they also kinda made it clear that someone like Revan was supposed to be a bit of a anomaly among the Sith, experiencing both the light and the dark side of the force, and coming back from it more or less unscathed - depending on how you played the game.
meanwhile, this character...she's just confusing as hell, even in the context of the mmorpg. climbing the ranks of the Sith while still being this lukewarm Sith character, still able to feel the kind of compassion that should've already been beaten out of her during her training on Korriban, or getting her killed otherwise...and nobody within the sith order ever noticed?

TLS would be a better example to help support the potato's weirdness but even that has its flaws. Think of them largely as guidelines or categories she could be placed into but that kind of falls to the wayside since TOR is going through a '2 fighting factions drop their fight to take out a bigger enemy' thing. Giving Lana even more wiggle room because of how the 3rd faction treats the force.
>>2059796
he is a ruthless pragmatic (just like Darth Marr) and would sacrifice the lives of thousands of people she doesnt know to accomplish her goal (the nuclear reactor of Zakuul). And she is really loyal to the empire thats why she could rise her rank
She is just not a psychopath like Thana Vesh (Taris)
>>2060254
*Lana is a ruthless pragmatic
>>2060254
Most of the people who write the "Sith" and "Dark Side" all try to out edgelord the previous guys because they're unimaginative, this filters down to people who try to find the most "badass" Sith Lord and cling to him/her. Lana does not fit these archetypes, but she is a powerful Sith Lord in every regard, she's just not an insane psychopath. I like her because she's ruthlessly rational and more like a Grey Jedi than what I consider a Sith Lord.

All this talk of the Dark and Light remind me of a few conversations I've been a part of on /co/.
How Lucas wanted a binary light is good and dark is evil but the writers for the expanded universe both in the old Legends and new Canon like to play slightly looser with the concept.
Although I've yet to really see a benevolent Dark Side user that would be nice in say the movies or cartoons.
After all The Father, The Son, and The Daughter's existence implied a balance would be a good thing but if the Dark is evil wouldn't it be better to be rid of it? Unless there was a truly good use for the Dark Side.
This is why I liked those aliens in Legends that believed there was more to The Force than Dark or Light and could do crazy things like teleport entire starships with their Force powers.
>>2060437
Back before the EU got wiped there was one or two instances of the dark side being used to heal people. The one that immediately comes to mind deals with Bane that was largely a case of 'Fuck everything I want them dead' being to used to 'burn' away his wounds/damage and heal himself though it was real painful and costly in the process.
I would love it if 8 and 9 had a manipulator/assassin sith as the tenuous bad guy constantly in the spotlight to a degree over some raging/collected psychopath or whiny teen being Rey's antag.
>>2060437
>After all The Father, The Son, and The Daughter's existence implied a balance would be a good thing
Not sure what you mean by this.
It's apparent that Star Wars was always written to have a very black-and-white morality view of the Light and Dark sides of the force. When the Jedi talked about bringing balance to the force they didn't mean both sides co-existing in harmony, they meant that the Dark side was a corruption that had to be cleansed to restore balance.
Which is a real waste of potential. The idea of two morally neutral ways to access powers, one being suppressing your emotions fully and the other being to embrace them (both the good and the bad, not just hatred or anger) would have been a lot more interesting. That way neither side would be inherently evil, they'd just be prone to different sorts of villains arising.
But it's not that kind of setting. The bad guys are spelled out very clearly and you're meant to root for the good guys to beat them. Any conflict comes solely from a Jedi switching to the Dark side, instead of staying on the Light side and going too far.
>>2060451
The Father, The Son, The Daughter? The Ones were the physical manifestations of the force balance, dark, light respectively. And could do all sorts of crazy things. When they died conflicts across the galaxy rose.
>>2060451
>When the Jedi talked about bringing balance to the force they didn't mean both sides co-existing in harmony, they meant that the Dark side was a corruption that had to be cleansed to restore balance.
That's your head-canon. It was never addressed.
>>2060555
Whaddya know I found a drawing of Ahsoka and The Daughter.
>>2060557
It's George Lucas's headcanon too. Besides, it's clearly what the film implies.
>>2060557
It was. They always said bring balance to the force AND destroy the dark side.
>>2060557
Well, putting aside George Lucas explicitly saying so when asked about it, let's consider the actions of the Jedi.
At no point do they ever talk about 'reforming the Dark side' or 'restoring the Dark side to its roots'. They always treat Sith as enemies to be exterminated, and there's no effort put into creating a Dark side counterpart to the Jedi.
Of course, you could always say that they were lying to serve their own biases and goals, and that truly balancing the Force requires adherents of both sides flourishing. But that's not what the series itself implies.
