I think I can guess what the next season will be now.
I'll bet the cast is going to split up at the end of this season. Beacon Academy will essentially be destroyed by the Grimm attack, and we'll start exploring the other places of the world. I don't know if it will be a thing where each of the four girls goes to one of the four kingdoms, or if it will be a lord of the rings scenario where half the cast (probably Blake and Yang) wind up on the front lines in the war against the Grimm, while the other half (probably Weiss and Ruby) chase down the actual villians. Also, Pyrrha will be removed from the story for a while, and Jaune will go through an arc where he either learns to stand on his own two feet, or he becomes edgier. I don't know if it will be next season or later, but I also think there will be an arc where Ruby has to angst-fight a rebuilt, evil Penny. If there is going to be another major death before the end of this season, I would guess Ozpin, to really drive home Beacon's destruction.
