Imagine if there was no Doomsday fight or the Martha revelation (therefore Superman's mother didn't need any saving because she was never kidnapped).
What if BvS really did end with Batman killing Superman? And then Superman being resurrected still did occur in Justice League but before that, Bruce underwent even more nightmare terrors as he tells himself how wrong he was for killing Superman.
Would it have made the movie better?

No. Sounds like the depressing movie that reviewers all claimed BvS was, and would probably make audiences hate Batman for being so easily manipulated

Everything is there for a reason. It's the most powerful superhero film in history.

It would be more interesting as a story than what happened, but it would be a bad idea to do in the build up of a cinematic universe and people would dislike it even more

But it would have been truer to life. Batman set out to kill Superman and it would make more sense for him to do it then stop in last second when he had planned out all the traps.

>Ships Olicity, Wonderbat, WestAllen, Clois, Romelza, Jamie and Claire Fraser, et al and absolutely cannot stop talking about the DCEU

would of been too edgy for normies
i'd enjoy it though
>>72106589
But people already dislike it for everyone being murdering grimaces. Nothing would change.
It would have been a lot better, certainly more shocking
>>72106420
It would destroy DC/WB ambition of having a shared universe.
