What is the most violent scene you have every watched in film/tv?

I'm looking for stuff that isn't necessarily the most gratuitous but is really intense. Like the violence makes sense within the narrative, but it is so well directed that it's scary.

Fire extinguisher or the rape from Irreversible first thing that comes to mind.

Dismemberment scene from Bone Tomahawk

Prisoners. What a classic.

The violence that I found disturbing?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JWHKVd3fVjw

Probably this.
>>
>>72082761
Yes
>>
>>72082780
fuck man yes.

SoA just had those moments where the violence was there, but with the raw emotional impact that made it so much worse.

Basically a lot of SoA scenes fit what I am looking for in the OP

>>72082828
gonna watch it today
>>
When the guy is cutting open his leg in the opening of tetsuo. Some thing about the acting and it being in black & white made it seem really intense

I was into gore movies a few years back, and was searching for extreme rare stuff. I came across a Japanese movie that was made to look like a snuff movie, where the entirety of the movie was a slow and detailed dismemberment of a dead body.

I mean I can handle shock violence, but this was just too... involved.
>>
>>72082857
name?

Sorry, it was a japanese phrase and I don't remember it anymore.

This shit was more funny to me.

Nothing comes close to the real thing so I can't really pick something from a film or anything. This isn't me being edgy, I'd link some videos but blue board.
>>
>>72083542
Impersonal violence (to me, impersonal) does absolutely nothing. Seen it all in Liveleak and eFuckt and back in the day in /b/.

Shit, this was >>72082780 more disturbing to me than those. Probably because I 'knew' those characters
>>
>>72083566
I suppose that is a point, I am slightly desensitized to it now as well. You can tell by the way you're average person reacts to stuff that you would consider vanilla etc.

I'm not a real tv or film buff though, so I haven't really connected to any characters, I just come here for the shitposts.

I thought this scene from Drive fits the describtion.
The amount of emotion that goes into the ruthless stomping.

>>72082907
Sounds like it's one of the Guinea Pig movies.

What did he mean by this?
>>

It's not a jap movie, but there is a short film called Aftermath that simply documents an autopsy with corpse fucking. Runs about 20 min I think. Saw it at a film festival and was pretty fucking disturbed by it.

+1 for the fire extinguisher from Irreversible.
>>
Also, Chekov's arm getting sliced in Green Room made me wince.
>>
>>72086267
I didn't really care about the violence in that film
nor about taht film

but the scene with Anton stuck in the door
and you can't see the arm in that scene
and you just hear his screams
and the inability to escape from it
and then you see the arm

That was some fucking stuff man
>>
>>72086267
>>72086346
this
I was genuinely horrified at that scene.
Not seeing what was happening was much worse than seeing it.
>>
>>72086418
It was all Anton selling that scene.

That dude was a fucking actor. You should watch Fright Night and Like Crazy.

Unironically think he could've been Marlon Brando -tier.

I know you're not looking for shit that is randomly gratuitous but for some reason the only movie gore that has ever got to me was Hellraiser 2.

I can't even really remember what happens in it, I just remember feeling uncomfortable as fuck watching it.
>>
Blue Ruin is like that, There isn't a lot of it but what there is is intense and pretty disturbing. Actually a great movie too
>>
>>72082693
this is the only correct answer
