>>
>>72042789
seems upsetting
>>
>>72042789

Emotionally draining.

Was my first experience with post-movie depression when I first saw it when I was 16 or smth.

Did you guys even know that this film is largely based on true events. sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Danguolė_Rasalaitė

actually depressing, as opposed to what most people claim is depressing like The Mist or that Futurama where the dog died.

>she committed suicide by jumping off a bridge in Malmö
Does this mean her soul is burning in hell forever according to Christian myth?
>>
Too tryhard and full of forced drama, you retards only like this crap because of MUH WAIFU
>>
>>72042789
Hits too close to home, as I live in an ex commie country in eastern europe.

Gave it 5 stars on letterboxd, one of my fav films.

It's Malmö, so refer to islam, infidel.

I genuinely loved watching her suffer. I wish they showed more sexual cruelty being inflicted upon her. It makes me happy to know that this type of thing happens to young, beautiful girls
>>
>>72045745

>rammstein in the soundtrack for this crap

You do realize the movie is edgy as fuck?
>>
Not even that depressing compared to some other films

Wonderful film whose effects last long after viewing. Essential viewing for numerous reasons but an important film for reasons completely outside of its quality.

It took about two weeks for my mood to return to normal after going into this movie blind. As upsetting the feelings were, I cherished that a film could do that to me.
>>
wtf i'm so angry after this moive
>>
>>72042789
It was the feel-good movie of the year.
I love to see terrible things happen to Russians. They really deserve every bad thing that happens to them.
>>
>>72048270

Or myspace, I can't remember it was many years ago
>>
They showed this to us while we were in 7-th grade here in Lithuania. I did feel that it was a depressing movie, but it didn't have that big of an effect on me. I'll probably rewatch it soon.
>>
>>72042789
As others have said, it's a great movie, but quite hard to watch.
>>
>>72049837
No one in the thread said it's a great movie but you, just that it's 'hard' to watch to many people.
And it isn't a great movie, btw.

Drama for drama: the film.

I guess it fits some westerner's view that everything left of Europe must be a complete shithole where kids sniff glue and drink in abandoned buildings to pass time, when they're not abducted to be sold as sex slaves. Good film if you like that sort of fiction misery, I guess.
>>
just finish it, good movie but i didn't like this angel thing seems a bit out of place
>>
>>72048194
>all prostitution is human trafficking
>>
>>72051358
That wasn't edgy at all, tho
>>
First world guilt tripping: the movie

Spare me next time. Disney movies are more bleak than this, because they realize no one cares and they only want to watch entertaining things. Come with the solution or shut the fuck up, don't just ask me to cry for what happens.
>>
>>72051772
It's based on a true story
>>
>>72048194
>I'm a complete retard, and upon that I claim to stand on a moral higher ground
>>
>>72052055
It's not a documentary
>>

Irrelevant. You can find any thing happening in any place.
