This is something that Shamalanaboo always fucks up. The Visit was one of the biggest steps up I've ever seen from somebody so far down in the garbage pail, but it was also weighed down by terribly placed jokes (that, and the limitations of the found footage bullshit). Why the fuck is he trying to make you laugh in the middle of such an excellent, tense scene? It's like he's sabotaging himself on purpose.
