>"And now.. I have no people."
Does anyone else genuinely feel sorry for Zod in this scene?
>>
That movie was so bad. Why would Superman make himself complacent in the extinction of his own species?
>>
>>72011096
Kind of. Would have felt a lot more if his acting was better. It helps to show more emotions than just anger/rage.
>>
>>72011096
Nope as Superman said Krypton had its chance and they blew it.
>>
Why would I feel sorry for a white man?
>>
he could have just used mars or the moon

fuck him, fuck snyder, and fuck the writers
>>
>>72011144
Because it meant the extinction of another equally important (to him) species?
>>
>>72011096
Yes, but he was a dick too. He killed Bruce's employees.

He could, but Zod was trying to restore Krypton to the way it originally was. Earth's biology was probably closest to that.

They should have left the building earlier.
>>
>>72011144
Because humanity is his species now, retard.
>>
>>72011314
you were BTFO
take it with dignity
>>
>>72011261
They were literally terraforming the Earth, there wouldn't be anything left of Earth's biology after they were finished.
>>
>>72011526
i dont even know what the video was but anybody who says this shit brings shame to their family
>>
>>72011401
no, circumstances outside weren't much safer, there were missiles and jets crashing everywhere

also before the Engine started working they had no idea what was the purpose of the ship, so staying inside was a prudent decision
>>
>>72011551
>Guys there's an alien invasion, should we go outside? Shit's exploding everywhere and buildings are collapsing.
>Lmao get back to work.

That scene was retarded.
>>
>>72011529
We have more raw natural material to work from.
>>
>>72011583
Bruce calls them right after the buildings start collapsing.
>>
APOLOGIZE
>>71980504
>>
>>72011589
They have space ships, they could mine the entire solar system easily. This was just shit writing to force a conflict between Superman and Zod.
>>
>>72011604
And they're still inside.
>>
>>72011096
He should've waited on releasing the world engine until after he took care of Superman

He saw what Superman could do and should've known all that equipment was vulnerable

>>
>>72011626
The magnetic field is really the biggest reason.

we take it for granted.
>>
>>72011672
Don't be retarded, the first thing you do in an earthquake is leave the building. The World Engine was creating massive seismic activity, which meant that skyscrapers were particularly vulnerable. Everyone else in the city figured it out except Bruce's retards.
>>
>>72011401
>>72011583

Chileans and japs don't run outside when there's a 8.0+ earthquake, training usually means you have to stay inside for most shit.
>>
>>72011096
TELL THAT TO ZOD'S SNAPPED NECK.
>>
>>72011672
Are you trying to defend man of steel?
>>
>>72011715
Do they stay inside when there's an alien ship systematically destroying everything around it too?
>>
>>72011714
>the first thing you do in an earthquake is leave the building.

Do you even California?
>>
>>72011711
They don't need a magnetic field, they're all supermen.
>>
>>72011732
I already did.
>>
>>72011756
No, I'm white.
>>
Man of Steel was awesome, imo

Zod was bad at times but whatever. It's a comic book movie and he was an over the top villain. Wow...

The funniest one, me and my wife quote it all the time irl...

>I will find him Laura...

Why? All this happened because he was a retarded dick. They could just terraform Mars.

This movie was so horribly written.
>>
>>72011773
In case of a REAL earthquake you don't go outside, it's one of the dumbest things you can do.

>>
>>72011778
The dialogue in MOS pissed me off multiple times
>We have had a child. A boy child.

So a FUCKING SON?

>What if I have to tinkle?

I honestly cringed at that one.

>Dick Splash!

Who the fuck wrote that?

>It's supposed to go in all the way!

lmao

>>72011852

Trying too hard again.
>>
Dude is a fuckin' solid actor, too. Not sure why he was so bad in this POS.
>>
>>72011096
I felt bad for him

But his response of trying to kill Clark wasn't substantiated.
>>
>>72011908
Director. That's always the reason. He was told to act that way so he did and Snyder gave his approval.
>>
>>72011908
I didn't think he was that bad really, thought the script was average.
>>
His people were so stupid to destroy their own planet and even having spaceship, not using them to escape, they were complete assholes and deserve to die.

So no, fuck Zod and fuck Kryptonians.
>>
>>72011958
yeah, how did they go almost extinct when they had interplanetary travel AND deployable automated terraforming machines??
>>
>>72011217
fug
>>
>>72011901
Why?
It disproves the Mars complaint.
>>
>>72011958
>having terraforming technology and interplanetary colonies established for centuries, possibly even centuries
>main planet dies and the colonies die from lack of supplies

did the Kryptonian genetic council not allow farmers to live on the colonies?
>>
>>72011996
In a science fiction movie? I guarantee the Kryptonians had the technology to sustain a planet without an ideal orbital pattern. Fuck, they had terraforming technology. They were thousands of years ahead of us. They probably had all kinds of incredible technology that this shitty movie never shows us.

>>
>>72012052
Keep in mind the Zod faction is basically a combination of criminals and refugees. They don't have access to the entirety of Kryptonian tech.
>>
>>72011243

this is even missing a part where Zodd talks to Jo-El and said to him, kryptonian babies would have to suffer under the atmosphere like Clark did as a baby, which was proven by Ma Kent who explained how Clark almost died when he arrived on earth till he could finally adapt.
>>
>>72011626

They have two spaceships, neither of which carry mining equipment, neither of which are the kind of shipping freighters you'd need to make hauling ore in from across the solar system viable.
>>
>>72011144
Because krypton had it's chance.
He literally spells it out for you.
>>
>>72012104
Hi bait. Good to have you here.
>>
why are people saying he could have terraformed any planet

all the dead outposts and even the planet where he found the world machine clearly shows that they still failed, so obviously the planet you choose still matters
>>
>>72011987
> they had interplanetary travel
The council refused to evacuate the planet

>deployable automated terraforming machines
Their colonies failed

I don't know man, I mean all this exposition is in the movie, did you actually watch it?
>>

You asked why not just mars or the moon
You're given the answer why in a video that cuts it out in cardboard
And now the video is invalid due to bad acting, because it's no longer about mars or the moon, now it's acting!

You're a goddamn child
>>
>>72012552
So Earth or Krypton are the only choices? Seems unlikely.
>>
>>72012552
I'm not the one who asked about it. I just showed up and decided to reply to that post. I just think it's silly that people get caught up in discussing what's wrong with the movie when it's clearly the acting and some of the writing.

>>
>>72012670
Had a good kek at that one.
>>
>>72011243
Except Kryptonians are immortal and could just co-operate with Earth to get the resources they need for a trip to a suitable candidate. With Kryptonian tech they could easily locate nearby possible planets. There's no reason to risk it. They have time.
>>
>>72012756
>Except Kryptonians are immortal
>>
>>72012756
For thousands of years, with all the resources of Krypton itself in its prime they never found a suitable planet except Earth, you think Zod could outdo that with just 1 ship and 1 world engine?
They're not immortal, there's a reason all those outposts died out
>>

krypton's chance was earth

why do humans deserve earth more than kryptonians?
>>
>>72012188

"Humanity had its chance, time for it to die" is the motivation of what seems like a dozen different sci-fi and superhero villains, but when Superman says it it's ok?

Zod wasn't entirely unsympathetic. That's one of the things that makes him a great villain. Him moving from rationalizing the genocide of humanity from a cold, Darwinian villain to doing so as an act of vengeance against Kal was a great moment for me.

Had it not been for Clark's having been exposed to Earth's environment and sun for far longer, Zod would have at least knocked us back to the Stone Age, if not wiped us out completely.

MoS I liked. Good music, pacing, a clear tone, etc. It was its own thing, not riddled with crap like BvS.

I really liked him as a villain. He almost oversteps that line of pointlessly evil, but the fact he's just pissed at superman and chooses the planet he calls home to terraform rather than anywhere else is just pure revenge.
