So is it just me, or has Scooby Doo really put the pedal to the medal in recent years?

Like I keep seeing people post about it and it seems like a decent show.

I'm just wondering because I need to find stuff for my wife's son to watch when I'm babysitting.

Of the modern shows, I've only watched What's New, Scooby-Doo? and Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated, both are pretty good, but Mystery Inc is the superior one for me. Haven't watch the current one. I'd also recommend Gravity Falls, I consider it a spiritual successor to Scooby Doo.
>>
>>71995443
Wasn't there a really hilarious porn parody immediately following the live kino release?
>>
>>71995443

Goddamn, I loved that movie. Some kind of wonderful Jack Kirby fever dream. Way cooler than anything Scooby-Doo or KISS related has the right to be.

I can't stand that show. Terrible animation that's too bright and cheerful, and just uses the same formula as the original without any of the charm. Mystery Incorporated is so, so much better

It was hardly immediate, came out like 10 years later. Bree Olson is obviously supposed to be Sarah Michelle Gellar, but for the most part it parodies the original animated series and not the movies.

It's spot on too, both really funny and you can tell the people behind it are fans of Scooby-Doo. So much better than either of the mainstream films
>>
>>71996684
I think my opinion is biased because I used to watch as a kid. But yeah, Mystery Incorporated is the best one.
>>
>>71996586
What's New Scooby Doo had bullshit episodes where the villain didn't appear at all. That's cheating. They take off the mask and it's just some dude that hadn't appeared the whole episode.

I thought the point of Scooby Doo was to show monsters weren't real and it always was people who were the monsters.
How the fuck did they make your vid related turn out to be some kind of elaborate trick?
Just light shows? Or some nerd with super VR technology? And why is KISS so powerful?
I don't remember the Partridge Family being so powerful

This movie is actually hilarious. Shaggy is quoting Linkin Park songs, and Daphne is making meta jokes.

>Iwao Takamoto (April 29, 1925 – January 8, 2007) was an American animator, television producer, and film director. He began his career as a production and character designer for Walt Disney Productions films such as Sleeping Beauty, Lady and the Tramp and Cinderella. Later he moved to Hanna-Barbera Productions where he designed a great majority of the characters, including Scooby-Doo and Astro and eventually became a director and producer.

>Production designer Iwao Takamoto designed the Scooby-Doo character with a sloping chin, spots, a long tail, a sloped back, and bow legs - all traits in direct opposition to those of a prize-winning purebread Great Dane.

Scooby Doo is an honorary animes.

none of it really matters, because while it was inspired by Japanese animation, anime of the period was itself inspired by Western animation of decades past. In the end, the origins and influence are inconsequential, Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? is a great show and one of the quintessential classics of animated television
