Considering how many issues only this show addresses (e.g. capitalism and schizophrenia in the age of digitalization), how visually appealing it is, it seems wrong to nitpick how the story is not always completely streamlined. I don't even think that's the goal of the showrunner. So, nothing went wrong. But it surely isn't for everybody.

While I like the show, and I can see why they had to do this, I still think it was a misstep to have the show ever feature scenes following other characters, not showing things from Elliott's point of view. The pilot was 100% Elliott and made it clear how he's an unreliable narrator, so we're constantly questioning what we're watching, knowing that we're seeing it through his lens.
And then, I think even from the second episode, they started showing scenes with other character independent from him, and still now, a season later, I'm confused over whether such scenes are still Elliott's unreliable narration, or if we're supposed to see them as free from his delusions...
Great cinematography and music.
Some of the acting and dialogue is fucking terrible, though.
