Jokes are meant to have a logic to them anon, or at least turn a logic on its head.

If you had purposefully confused Time of Eve with two other anime featuring robots, or two other anime with similar sounding names, that would have been a joke with a structure to it. I can give you Eden of the East for that, especially since it came out around the same time, and did feature a little robot in one or two episodes if I remember correctly

But Durarara doesn't tie into that at all, it's just another, random anime and it shoots down whatever joke you were trying to make. As it is, your failed joke was purely for your own amusement, which, when communicating with others, serves no real purpose. If you can't communicate its logic to either a person who doesn't know the animes in question, or like me, someone who does know the animes you named and is still confused by it, then your joke was a failure.

>You sound fat and unhappy
I am thin and unhappy.

>>71985797
Good job explaining whatever point you're trying to make.

Are you being needlessly nitpicky because it merged with the Major and she still had a human brain?

Remember:
1) The body the Puppet Master arrives to Section 9 in is fully robotic.
2) After merging with the Major, in the movie's final scene, she is shown in a new body, it is not made clear whether her braincase was transferred into that new body.
3) In the sequel, the Major/Puppet master moves freely into an entirely new sex doll body.

So the consciousnesses can freely move from brains as data onto the Net and into fully artificial robot bodies, stop trying to make a case that there's no room for discussion about Ghost in the Shell in a thread about robots.

How can you argue this? It's about a man who befriends a robot, clear as day.

Sure, it's about Frank's memory loss, nostalgia for his youth and need to depend on others, but they're more themes than anything. The plot is about an old man who befriends his robot caregiver. Why dispute this?

It's not exactly outlandish that a fully autonomous robot would extract energy from the air like we do

Besides, they're blatantly human consciousnesses transplanted into robot prisoner bodies (their original bodies probably harvested for organs or something), the breathing is to make their humanity clear to the audience.
