You have to think about their target audience and who's is watching their content. Realizing that, it's no wonder the company was successful. Most of us were teens when RvB started and it was the kind of humor that jived with us. Most of the time. Season 5 was really pretty bad.
And then internet video grew and became this massive thing and now today teens watching their content grew up as kids with them and stuck with it. While their initial audience grew up, they kept gaining new kids watching. It's why parts of the company like Funhaus aren't as popular, it's not so much for kids. The kind of stuff they talk about is more for people our age and personally I enjoy their content.
If you want Rooster Teeth to go away, promote abstinence. Get people to stop fucking. If people stop fucking, there won't be anymore kids. If there won't be anymore kids, the Rooster Teeth core audience will be gone.I do like their new cartoon Camp Camp, though. I've had some laughs.

From this thread I think we can determine that on the whole, nothing went wrong. Rooster Teeth kept growing and growing and continues to do so. Despite the lackluster content they've churned out, they still make more and more money. On the whole, I'd call that a success even if some of their audience feels disappointment.
Y'know the start of Season 12 was actually pretty great cause they fucked off half the main cast for a while which let some of the other characters breathe and they introduced some new ones. It was actually kinda funny and refreshing, and they weren't relying on the same tired jokes.
Then the rest came back, the rookie recruits basically vanished from that point on and it was boring again.
No joke, I honestly think it would be great if they killed off a couple of characters that haven't developed in ages like Sarge and added some new ones. That would never happen though because they've all become too sacrosanct
