it's about how although our experiences of heartbreak are painful, without them we would make the same mistakes over and over again. they are re-starting a completely toxic relationship because neither of them learned anything
>>
>>71898213
Im not the anon telling you you need to have had a gf to "get" the movie, but the point of the movie is to illustrate the concept that its better to love a person despite their flaws and enjoy the journey, than to give up on a relationship because the person you dated didn't meet your preconceived notions of what a significant other should be. Like you said, people without moms cried at bambi, but kids whos moms died cried harder I would imagine. Much like people who have had a relationship fall through have a more intense feeling from this movie.
>>

I have never been in a relationship and it was one of my favorite movies for a while.

I haven't seen it in like 4 years at this point but I don't think I would feel too differently about it anyway. Joel does say some pretty permavirgin things ("Why do I fall in love with every woman I see who shows me the least bit of attention?") and he basically has that beta as fuck demeanor to him so it's easy to relate to him.

>Movie released in 2006
>Main character wears a "old" ragged London 2012 olympics hoodie throughout the film

It was small things that this that really upped the immersion factor for this film.

This one for me as well. I don't know why but westerns just sound really awful and boring to me in my head, but once I get into them I do enjoy the setting. Same goes for mafia / gangster type stuff. I should probably try the godfather next.

Can probably be interpreted in many ways.
>Close up (close examination of a person) + unsettling image (unsettling character)
>"To show teeth" = to act in an angry or threatening manner
>teeth chew food, like DDL chews his peers (exploits them)
etc etc

effects and cinematography were great but the story was kinda meh
