98% on Rotten Tomatoes based on 135 reviews in total.

Can we please talk about this movie?

Is it really that good or is it shit?

Thoughts?

This movie definitely deserves a 98%. An amazing horror film that gets everything right

WHY DID THEY HAVE TO MAKE A MOVIE ABOUT IT REEE

I recall reading Paddington and crying when he got kicked out or something. Poor bear just wanted friends. Now it's going to be commercialised by some kike for shekels.
>>
It's good, beautifully made, but I thought the main villain plan was inappropriately dark for the source material. I don't really get why, because the light hearted stuff is perfect.

Paddington Bear was commercialized 40 years before you were born

Try watching it.

It will probably irritate you if you're a delusional /pol/tard, like most people appear to be here on /tv/, since it quite clearly puts forward the argument that immigration is a positive thing. The Calipso band which plays throughout most of the film is a testimony to this, comprised as it is by members of the Windrush generation.

Aside from that, it is a very moving and funny film, if you like comedies with buffoonery and foolishness, which is pretty much what Paddington always was at heart.

8/10 flick

should be 100% as its the first film I've ever wanted to bang Nicole Kidman in

>ace ventura has bought the same clothes in every size since he was a boy

Apparently that bear is famous among britbongs but it's completely unknown in France. Despite this I enjoyed the movie, it's fun and light hearted. I think it's a movie I would have loved as a kid.

saw one trailer, expected it to be literal modern-cgi bullshit. didn't watch it in cinemas and decided to watch it with my girlfriend cause she knew the old show

biggest surprise of 2014 for me since the movie was actually funny, cute, it had a great story and even great atmosphere

I'd love it if more children's movies were like this one was
>>
It starts off great, but it feels lackluster towards the end. Subplots are wrapped up too quickly, and I felt like I just wanted more from the rest of the family. Overall though, it's theme works well with the story, but it feels a little by-the-book in terms of family films.

>but I thought the main villain plan was inappropriately dark for the source material

fuck off, this is why we don't get nice family movies anymore

>hook
>matilda
>casper

all of those are god-tier movies which all had pretty dark stuff in them. nowadays you only get that sjw and "everything has to be positive" bullshit in movies

98%? Yes.

But not the 8.3 I would say. I'd give it a 7/10.
>>
>>71869232
thats genuinely not surprising
>>
>>71868260
super forgettable passable movie, the new standard your typical Rotten Shillmato critic uses as a 10/10 movie
>>
>>71868330
Tomato meter is part likability, and part luck. It is a likable movie, and I really think most people want to root for the family presented in the movie enough to like it and give it a fresh.

And I like Paddington, its nice looking and has lots of nice imagery and feel good moments. The bearboi in the rain is sad and make me feel bad.

Watch the Shaun the Sheep film instead.

I liked it but it's not as good as Wallace & Gromit
>>
>>71868362
And Nicole Kidman can't act for fucking shit.
>>
>>71869631
she was sexy for once though
>>
>>71869558
rip aardman

whens their next movie?!?!?!
>>
>>71869458
For what this tries to be, it's amazing. Parents everywhere absolutely adore Shaun the Sheep (and Peppa Pig) for a very good reason, it'll hold a 2-7 year old's attention in a way not much else will.
>>
>>71868260
The trailer looked atrocious, but kids would probably like it, so a lot of the reviews might be "My kid liked it, so it's okay I guess".

I'm 26 and I absolutely loved the movie. Some of the jokes are amazingly funny.
