Watching it on Netflix now. I've noticed that Frasier has 3 default paths in an episode or episodic arc:
1. Elaborate game of telephone that screws up Frasier/Niles' chances of getting laid. (Daphne overheard Dr. Crane saying .....)
2. Frasier and Niles trying to one up one another and both falling flat. The end of the episode/arc will be them promising to never do it again.
3. Frasier successfully pursuing a woman only to screw it up with one of his many idiosyncrasies which just happens to manifest at the least opportune moment.
It's a comfy show though. It's what I watch right before passing out every night.

I always try to like this show during the yearly reruns on Channel 10.
