I never particularly liked El Chavo when I was a kid, only watched it on because it aired previous to Spongekino while I ate.
Then years after, when I was about 19 I managed to catch a few episodes on the tv, and I found it pretty funny, the slapstick (imo) still held up and the jokes they threw in were pretty clever and subtle at times as well.
