>tfw Mad as Hell is on tv
Is this the best show on Aus television?
YES. yes it is.
I mean it's less smug and more self-effacing than Mediawatch.
>>71758409
No
That's neighbours
>>71758409
Yeah
>>71758409
Probably. Micallef is, and always has been, fucking excellent
>>71758409
>Is this the best show on Aus television?
that's not rake
>>71759867
Good, but jumped the shark a little with the latest season.
>>71759907
eh i dont know. it seems like a logical progression aside from perhaps the "i stand for nothing" schtick.
it was getting pretty strange that he was this shit a barrister, this hated by other barristers and the profession yet still practicing
>>71758409
one of them yes. as much as people hate the abc they still have most of the watchable locally made shows on australian tv.
>>71758409
>>71758409
Down home on uni break watched my first ep a few days ago can someone explain the Tyrrell Corp chair?
>>71758409
Yes
>>71761208
Shaun likes Blade Runner a lot.
>>71758409
>not wentworth
>tfw can't handle strayn accents on tv or in movies
What did everyone think of Ghost Hitler's reaction to VW Dieselgate?
This shit is even preachier than John Oliver.
>Viewers literally write in and ask "is it okay" to do things and he unironically tells them if it is or isn't
>Then looks into the camera and speaks to world leaders, telling them if what they're doing is OK or not
>>71761383
As an Australian I find it quite jarring when there's an Australian in an American show (accent really sticks out).
When it's all Australian accents, it's not so bad.
>>71761330
OK cool so it is BR related my parents said not, ty
>>71758409
>the Tyrell Corp chair/throne in the background
All the little references they do always gets me
>>71761574
>He doesn't have a sense of humour
captcha: pick the post by the total pleb
>>71761383
Most of them are intentionally exaggerated, so it can be annoying. I guess it's so that Americans can understand that the character is Australia.
>>71761420
That segment lost me, to be honest. I didn't pay enough attention to the set up.
>>71761574
Adam Hills is actually the funniest and most talented stand up comedian, when he actually does stand up comedy. Its a shame that he doesn't actually do comedy but just does this political talk show instead, if he did actual comedy, he'd be hilarious. My dad met him once, said he's a really nice person.
>>71761676
That was actually one of the funniest things about living in America for a while.
I met quite a few Australians who had lived there for years and years, but their accent was much stronger than mine (or many Australians I know - rural and not)
>>71761648
I've seen the show, neither does Adam Hills.
I wasn't so sure about Mad as Hell, but I think it benefits from the fact that they're not trying to be journalists or political commentators like The Daily Show or The Last Leg or any other crap like that on TV right now.
It's comedy that pokes fun at politics but knows better than to try and be self-righteous about it.
Who is his best panelist?
>>71761756
Oh, I'm an idiot. I thought you were badmouthing Shaun.
Adam Hills is not funny - I agree
>>71761713
Hi Adam.
>>71761802
>2016
>not releasing the kraken
>>71762113
I usually like this guy but he hasn't had much screen time this season
>>71762350
>the government needs to do something about the quality of the internet in this country!
>so i can install higher resolution webcams in bathrooms!
>>71762113
why did that show with Shaun and that qt from Good News Week get cancelled, that was comfy as fuck
>>71758409
Your country doesn't matter.
>>71758409
didn't this fuck create the project and is responsible for everything in it.
Yeah a good comedian crafts a personality that can be teeter in and out of independent perspectives with ease, but that doesn't mean impartiality can't be feigned, he may just be better at including the progressive shit because he hates bouncing around the networks so often.
I don't think you can accept the progressive SJW as a conservative without showing disdain for the world they want to create, so he either hides it better than anyone ever and uses it for motivation or isn't a conservative, just a self-interested populist.
>>71761713
comedy's afoot with adam.
>>71761574
This show makes mehopping mad
>>71762644
>didn't this fuck create the project and is responsible for everything in it.
The Panel is produced by Roving Enterprises which is Rove McManus.
>>71761347
>tfw Orange gets a thread but wentworth never does
it's utterly terrible.
why does he turn to a character actor every 2 minutes, their jokes never land and they just awkwardly sit there until he moves on to the next thing.
>>71762644
Do you really think he'd be struggling to have a show on the ABC if he created The Project? Idiot.
>>71762764
>The Panel is produced by Roving Enterprises
The Panel was Working Dog.
The Project is Rove "punchable face" McManus.
I haven't watched Australian TV in yonls
Is it lefty bullshit like 90% of everything on tv these days?
I can handle "Le Middle Ground" shows but almost everything on tv is leftwing propaganda
>haha Labor party XD
>>71763300
Yeah that's the one.
>>71763326
wtf are you talking about. the majority of the media is right wing, even the abc has been shown to be biased to the right
>>71765346
>abc
>right wing
abc is moderate, at worst it is left biased
best news channel
>>71761713
>DUDE I HAVE ONE LEG LMAO
>>71762780
Theres all of about 4 people on /tv/ who watch it. Pity, it's good.
>>71759357
^objectively correct
>>71758717
Media watch is only good because the presenter is so smug. Otherwise it'd be a pretty dry news show.
>>71761802
she is one hell of a character player. from something like that old bat to something like the slutty bogan in that library show is a big leap.
