I really enjoyed Would You Rather and it felt more twisted to me than the Saw movies, which I also love. In the Saw movies, in most of the traps the victim cant communicate with Jigsaw or the accomplices, it's just them and the contraption. You cant reason with this mechanical devise, you cant beg for your life, it cant show you compassion, it's going to do what it was designed to do; kill you when the timer goes off. The idea that the players in WYR were communicating with the host and his servants throughout the ordeal made it a bit more disturbing desu, the fact that no matter how much they begged or cried there was no empathy to be found.

Hostel is an excellent idea with terrible execution. The first half should've focused more on the mystery of the organisation and the missing friends. But instead it's more of a soft core porno and when the mystery half is over and you get into the fun gore stuff the movie ends about 10 minutes later. Such a blunder.
