This was a case study in taking an interesting premise and then changing course where it went full retard originally.
It started out with small alterations. There was no absurd pedophile witch hunt episode. The fight with the ghost's fiance was over a lost ring, which actually made sense compared to underwear (??)
Then instead of a ghost from the future encouraging them to explode a baby to prevent a vampire nazi world regime, they did a story about an alternate present where vampires and werewolves were in open gang warfare and the two leads hated each other
Then instead of KILLING OFF AND REPLACING THE ENTIRE FUCKING CAST they... didn't.
As a bonus we never once had to look at Russell Tovey's face or hear him screech like Pepe when he transformed.
