horror movies are more formulaic then kids shows, basicly if it exists it can be a horror movie.
>>
Has anyone here actually seen it? Cause it's actually pretty good.
>>

GET OUT. waste of $10. Waste of 90min. people like you is the reason this shit exists.
>>
>>71620354
All the deaths were hilarious and the main protag is hot. I ENJOYED IT
>>
>>71620354
It's not good as a horror movie but I had a good laugh while watching it so it's not all bad.
>>
>>71620354
i was entertained would reccomend
>>
Just finished watching it actually, it was better than I was expecting. 2/10
>>
The blonde version of that actress looks like a young Tara Reid.
>>
>>71620175
I haven't watched this, but I watched jThe Gallows, and I was impressed. It's not spectacular or anything, but it's a pretty original simple tale done in a classic way in a modern setting. Watch that instead if this one sucks.
>>
reminder that jump scares and gore porn make for invariably shit movies
>>
>get told it has the scariest ending a horror movie had in years
>it's a shitty predictable jumpscare
Never once will I listen to normies.

Guys, I think I hate modern horror.
Even "good", often-recommended on here shit like The Orphanage, Witch, Descent or Pontypool.
It's all so dull and boring at best, dogshit at worst.

I just want to feel the same way Rosemary's Baby and Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me made me feel when I watched them for the first time. Which is not fear, but the sense of dread/being unsettled by the tense atmosphere.

Why is it so hard to make a horror movie that can actually accomplish that?
>>
That snapchat movie (The Sickhouse) was way fucking worse.
>>
>>71620354
Yih, mad decent. Not worth a rewatch, and the YouTube critics like Phelous and YMS tore it apart with nitpicks, but as far as inventive ideas for horror go, well worth a watch. Bizarre to see all the hate for it in a year where The Gallows was a blockbuster. Now that is borderline anti-cinema in its ineptitude
>>
>>71620175
Horror has always been a shit genre with a tiny handful of decent films.I don't know why people think shit horror movies are a new thing.

>One shit movie defines the whole genre
Yes OP, cause it's not like It Follows, The Witch, Krampus, and Crimson Peak haven't all also been released in recent times. Unfriended truly is the indicator for the entire fucking genre, just like how the Green Lantern movie is indicative for all capeshit.
>>

Holy shit
>>
>>71623778
Your point being? All the movies you mentioned suck and bringing capeshit into this does not help your cause.
>>
>>71624160
yeah but they really don't suck all that much amigo

The conjuring too
>>
>>71624206
>The Conjuring
Probably the most overrated horror movie since Scream. I get scared easily and not once did that movie spook me in the slightest, most noticeably near the end when the villain lady appears and it's a cheesy ass makeup effect.
>>
>>71620175
This was a great unique movie. Hope more movies are made like this

It was decent until we learn that the ghost is just a cunt shithead with no proper reason to kill most of them.

The bitch killed herself because there was a video of her sharting herself. That's why the world must burn, totally.

This! Jesus fuck my gf's younger sister watches all the Blumhouse films and likes all of them when they're all exactly the same with horrible cgi and low budget acting. She even says that some. Of the people in the movies are "amazing actors".
