Honestly think the change to the ending was handled quite well, sad that it was probably necessary for normies.

Watchmen was still a decent adaptation, but the story works better as a comic
The only major fuckup was miscasting Veidt. Snyder really missed the point of the character.

It didn't really need to be made into a movie. The comic book presentation was a big part of the story itself.
Snyder got the look right, but he flubbed a few of the characters. It was also a little cringey to have Niteowl explain the moral of the story to the audience. Its like Snyder was afraid to end the story on a grey note.
