Definitely yes. It was a very smart and well written series but great eye-candy. Be warned though that most of the first season, especially early on, is poor so be prepared for early cheese and naff episodes.

This. It makes less sense nowdays, but there was a time for it once. I remember comfy fake sick days off from school where I'd watch Xena and Hercules all day
It gets seriously stale by the final season. First season is agreed by the fans to be a bit rough I guess, but I enjoyed it the most. It's definitely tonally at odds with the rest of the show, but since the show is mostly retarded that's not so bad. It jumps the shark like five times so I'd say stop watching whenever it stops doing anything for you. Come for the dykes, stick around for Karl Urban.
