Producer gives you a $1.5 million budget to make a film on the proviso you keep everything the film makes if and after it reaches a 200% return.
What would you make?
>>71511607
make a sextape with your mom, and keep the 1.5 million.

The Rise and Fall of Chris-Chan
8 Mafia type dudes sitting around a table playing poker, the narrator being one of them, a Henry Hill type guy, the film progresses with flashback sequences telling the story of each gang member confiding to this Henry Hill type guy how he wants to fuck the other members over and their general character development, with the poker game progressing through the film in filler scenes
The film ends in a shootout after a last but brilliant hand is played.
Each gang members character is designed differently to appeal to different people, so that there's always someone being rooted for to come out alive.
Steal if you want, just make it good desu
tetris trilogy

He's not giving you access to the cash. You gotta make a profitable movie if you money.
>>71511658
Good luck with such a small budget. Low budget capeshit is terrible unless it's deliberately tongue in cheek and even then there's not enough substance for a feature film.
>>71511661
Who would play him?
>>71511661
herzog's already on that
>>71511695
I had a similar idea to this when I was 15 except it didn't end it a shootout.
>>71511712
>who would play him
Ryan Gosling
Record an 10 hour paint drying epic interspersed with a random image from Google every 2 seconds for half a second, for a total of around 14,400 random images. And then one of them will be explicit porn to see if it makes it past the censors.
Total cost, a few weeks of editing, and I'll pocket the money because nobody is going to watch a 10 hour film.
1.5 million isn't enough to make any money on.
Consumers are worthless cattle, what matters is the advertising budget. I could record a turd for an hour and a half, but if I had 20 million to spend on marketing, I could still make a profit. 1.5 million isn't enough for a decent ad campaign.

Holocaust love story

I'd make a super shitty 100k remake of "Massacre Mafia Style" and I'd pocket the rest.

I'd remake the plane scene from TDKR except extend it over a 3 hour period. Mainly with dialogue between Bane and CIA.
>>71511846
Does it end with a Crashed Plane: No survivor edition?
>>71511755
You can do this in like 10 minutes with a script
>>71511900
I was including the time it took to sort through the images. You don't want any unintended porn or images of Vietnam war crimes getting in.
>>71511891
That's the third movie. I've planned a trilogy.
>>71511846
Just remake "catch me if you can" with Bane and CIA.
id film a mime beating a clown to death and then the investigation afterwards involving a bumbling detective who has a near sighted dog that helps him solve crimes

>1.5 million isn't enough to make any money on.
Horseshit.
Saw, Napoleon Dynamite, Open Water, Blair Witch Project, Mad Max, Halloween, Friday the 13th just a few examples of films made on shoestring budgets which made a shitload of money. All except Saw were done for less than $1 million. Some might edge just over it with inflation but not by much.
Some super awful SJW cash grab that every feminist, cuckold and other degenerates will watch. And then /tv/ will go see it too because of the controversy.

Notice how none of those films came out in the last decade.
You can't make any money in the current industry unless you have millions to throw at advertising.

They could get 2 1/2 cases of beer for their efforts, a rousing success!
>>71511658
This.
If you knew how shitty the Antman title was in comics there's absolutely no question a capeshit will make money. If that character broke box office records any other hero will surely profit big time guaranteed, it would lure imbeciles into the cinemas like flies on shit
>>71512283
Let's do this guy, the Black Terror, and have him kill blacks!
It's like poetry.

Independent movies made for nothing get purchased all the time. Many are still profitable for the studios which purchase them but no low budgets aside from found footage horrors done in studio have been massive hits. I think it's partly lack of advertising and poor planning and marketing from the studios and also indicative of the results of overblown budgets. You don't need to spend a bundle on advertising to help a small, creative film find an audience and become a hit. You do however need to spend an additional fucking fortune when you blow $200 million on a movie because when you spend that much, it needs as many people as possible to see it.
We really need the blockbuster bubble to burst again.
>>71512060
I didn't need those feels.

Are you autistic? Next time make your choices before you create a thread.
>>71512560
You're boring.
It's a thread about making a movie and you chose the "I'd pocket the cash" answer. Most boring people imaginable.
>>71513310
>youre boring for being smart
not my fault you'd gamble it all on pappas dirty moustache in the 3rd you dumbfuck
with $1.5m you could buy a property, rent it out, live off the rental income for life and/or use it as a home
but your shits all fucked up and you think you gotta win big dollars or there's no point
the point of big dollars is to make yourself secure, if you're already secure with $1.5m you're taking an unnecessary and dumb risk
fuck you and your family
>>71513359
Wow. Boring and mad.
Stay away from me and my wife's son.
