Does anyone think it's weird how much of NuWho is taken up by Christmas specials? I mean if you have 12 episodes a season plus a Christmas special every year then that's 7.69% of the series that ends up Christmas themed. In reality we've had Christmas specials even more often than that due to weird scheduling. By my calculations, after this year's Christmas special we'll have 12 Christmas episodes out of 143 episodes of NuWho, meaning a Christmas rate of 8.39%. This, on top of the fact that Christmas specials are longer than normal episodes, so in terms of running time the show could conceivably be up to 10% Christmas episodes. Isn't that fucking weird to anyone? The concept of Doctor Who isn't inherently Christmas-related at all and yet approximately 10% of NuWho is Christmas stuff. Just think about it.
