critics want their big budget films to be infantile disney trash. the darker themes trigger them
>>71448696
Better question is, why is RT so trash?
How can capeshit be rated so high?
>>71448696
I think the question here is why RT so thrash.

Mad Max: Fury Road, The Dark Knight, Skyfall, LOTR, Harry Potter 6-8, etc were so infantile.
Why is RT trash?

Critics don't like grim dark and edgy anymore.
>>71449183
Critics are changing their minds after watching the Ultimate Cut, and it's selling like hot cakes. :^)
Because they make movies where white males are presented in a heroic way and aren't made to look foolish
>>71449680

At one point Tarzan is about to punch Leslie Jones square in the face in the jungle, but then Leslie says her mother's name AND IT'S LITERALLY THE SAME NAME AS THE MONKEY THAT'S THE SURROGATE MOTHER OF TARZAN IN THE JUNGLE OH MY GOD
>>71449183
How does Disney do it?
>>71450232
>Part 1 rated that low
What was wrong with it? It's actually one of the most intense chapters and the pacing was also great.
>>71451119
probably the ending. It was abrupt.
Still a great movie though.

You want the correct, truthful answer?
They're the #1 studio in the world right now, mostly in part to their smart executives and eye for talent. They'll snatch up the good directors/actors/writers, use them to make films, and keep a good rapport with them so they keep returning to make more movies. The other studios (WB, Fox, Sony, etc) are left with the lower-rung talent, and thus make worse movies.
You want the /tv/ answer?
DUDE THEY PAY CRITICS LMAO
>>71451811

>>71451961
the best directors are with Warner though

>The other studios (WB, Fox, Sony, etc) are left with the lower-rung talent,
Very true especially with WB. Literally syfy level talent.
>>71448770
>not knowing how RT works
I don't know why people keep using this meme. Unless you are actually retarded and you can't see the words"average" and "score" right under the percentage.
>>71452031
How many Academy Award winners does Disney have?
How many does WB have?
Steven fucking Spielberg is with Disney now. It's ogre.
Not to mention Disney's farm system is the best in the industry. They find talent like crazy and pump out good movies with newbies.
>>71452124
Because they're from /v/ and they know its the best way to milk upreplies.
>>71448696
Terrible directors
>>71452690
No
Terrible negotiators and conditions
David Lynch and Paul Greengrass were going to direct movies for WB, but they wanted too much control and too little freedom. So we got Hack Snyder instead.
What's wrong with Tarzan? Damn I was actually kind of interested in it.
