when are they going to make a movie of this?
>>71437668
its called heat
there is a series called the wire
It's already a pastiche of movies.
It's pretty violent and bloody
>>71437668
scarface already exists
It's called triple 9
>>71437726
This. It's the same reason why you couldn't make a red dead redemption movie. It's already taken so much influence from other movies. It's basically the same reason a Warcraft movie is redundant too. We already have 6 Tolkien movies. This goes for any game that is more renowned for it's gameplay than the originality of it's setting. Now, if they made an Oddworld movie, I could get behind that. But they never will. Too busy making Angry Birds and a fucking Tetris trilogy of all things.

>tfw no Banjo-Kazooie movie
>>71437668
It was called GTA:V
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F9tni2Z-T0w
>it's a /v/ thread
It's like saying when will there be a tv show for Mad Max...
>>71437685
>>71437721
>>71437754
>>71437769
Its called Drive
>>71437950
>he never saw the wire.
>>71437906
thats a game though, i want the movie version.
>>71437685
I actually watched this not long ago and thought
"oh thats here they got it from"
>>71438197
I do believe you missed the joke, pal.
Came out a couple of years ago
>San Andreas
>Starring, The Rock
>The Rock flies a helicopter, an airplane, steals a truck, drives a speed boat
>>71437668
what makes the game fun doesn't translate to film
>he hasnt seen pusher
>>71439201
Crank seemed pretty fun to me.
>>71438993
u got troled
>>71437668
It wouldn't work as a movie, but it could easily be a netflix tv show
Just a regular crime series, like the wire or breaking bad
>>>/v/
>>71437790
>Tetris Trilogy
Fuck, I thought you were joking but I've just looked this up. How?
>>71437790
>people think Red Dead Redemption had a good story
Triggers me hard. It was literally just the Wild Bunch with a rip off soundtrack of Ennio Morricone. Not impressive at all. Story was actually dreadfully boring and I cant even remember what the antagonist's motivation was. Something about wanting to liberate Natives from the government...?
Also, they accidentally forgot to give John Marston any character development
>>71439415
The people behind it are either idiots or geniuses and I'm looking forward to finding out which.
>>71439448
How very unexpected that a Western game would use music similar to the most iconic Western music ever made.
>>71437668
>Just play the game
And while you are at it
>Just post on /v/
And while you are at it
>fucking kys
>>71439502
It's just that games always do a pastiche of things when it comes to their stories - never anything original.
But fine, whatever, pop culture soundtrack aside the story was still dreadfully dull and poorly written
>>71437941
thats a good idea actually
>>71437790
>>71437726
Agreed.
>>71439721
There are tons of original games.
>>71439302
If they made it a crime show from the perspective of the criminal and DID NOT try to make him some "sympathetic actually a good guy" character I could get behind this.
I need something that is good but uncomfortable to watch.
>>71437790
God I want a good Oddworld movie.
Such a great fucking setting. One of the coolest in video games.
