What he has contributed wasn't enough to justify everyone in the North to pass Sansa's legitimacy to support his;
Jon is a good person but also didn't try to fight for his sister's legacy (contrary to the book version btw; at least with Stannis) not even in a half arsed way;
Since he is made KitN instead of Sansa Stark, fans have no problem with it, they don't view Jon negatively unlike it'd have been the case if it was Arya, Bran, Robb and Ned. She isn't seem as deserving, so people don't care.
