Opie and Anthony is unlistenable after getting into Ron and Fez. I understand how they are friends, but they do completely different shows and R&F is so much less hacky.
Ron is probably one of the funniest people on the planet. I remember right after they moved to satellite they were doing a show and they did an interview with a marine and the producer(I think it was Harry at the time, who was fat) tried to slip Ron a note about how it was the 150th anniversary of the Marines or some shit and Ron wrote him back a note that said "buy a cake and eat it" I lost my fucking shit when they talked about it on a later show.

Ron and Fez went through changes much more often than O&A, with a pretty large number of staff changes over the years, plus Fez's decade long descent into insanity. One that makes me laugh every time but doesn't require an understanding of the show is probably Ron's Umbrella.

If Ron started a cult tomorrow I would join it. I was skeptical about his new show but I listen to it everyday now. Chris Stanley is still great, Ron is fucking Ron and his daughter Gale is actually a really fine broadcaster in her own right. She has a very sexy voice and it works with the rest of the show

The decline of Fez into mental illness was fucking weird to experience. I remember when he was a true part of the show and it was great, but he gradually spiraled down and you couldn't stop listening. O and J are ok, but you can tell Opie and Jim hate each other. Opie went all paranoid after the Tranthony firing, and Jim feels betrayed by Opie not trusting him and his general career failure.
The biggest disappointment was Ant. The faggot had a long running bit about people getting fired for nothing. There was a long track record of Opie and Jim making allusions to how his alcoholism was destroying his life as he was missing/coming in late to shows. Then, the fucking closet case goes on a racial rant which shockingly gets the fucking idiot fired.
He then attacks Opie for not quitting, blaming him for all the ills in his life. Shockingly, he starts a failure of a podcast network, followed by abuse of one of his sycophants which culminates in him getting arrested and charged with major crimes. Then he goes to rehab - all the while losing his guns, losing all remaining respect, and no doubt at this point running low on available cash.
He then fucks a tranny, freaks out about it, and now is basically irrelevant.
I enjoy clips of Ron & Fez, but it was never a show that I could listen to daily.

part of it is that they take too many calls. R&F callers are a MILLION times better than O&A callers, but I still don't like callers.
I also appreciate that R&F are responsible for the radio careers of both East Side Dave and Pepper Hicks. I enjoy The East Side Dave Show and High Society Radio more than O&A or R&F.

if O&A gets back together, Ant will bring his new habits back to the old show, and will run the show. not necessarily an improvement; O&A's looseness was comfy.
