It's a little overrated, sure... but it's easily one of the best series of televsion ever. It's got so much heart and fun.
This was very disappointing to see. I had so many people basically describe this as the next big thing in sci fi that tragically ended prematurely and then it turned out to be really middling. I did like the cast, but overall it never really felt particularly good. I'd rate SG-1 well above it.

I'd say Breaking Bad is overrated, the show had so many filler episodes, it started and ended weak... it had a coupla good eps that carried multiple seasons.

Nolan's gritty/realistic take on Bats just doesn't work. The only good thing about it was Ledger's performance. Bale was the worst Batman since Kilmer. It's not a bad movie, just a massively overrated one.Firefly gets a 7/10 for effort but the fanbase is just as obnoxious as Steven Universe fags.

i think part of what throws people off who try to watch it today are the laughably awful cgi heavy scenes. especially that battle opening in the pilot.
god damn, i nearly shit myself with laughter when any of the scenes with the actual firefly in space show up.
but its still a really good show. every episode is a lot of fun. the cast is really good and the hammy dialogue is just... fun. its one of the best shows to turn off your brain. makes me want to rewatch it again its been a couple years.
