This might be the wrong place to ask this, but I'm almost certain a cartoon at one point referenced Gravity's Rainbow, and I think it was a children's cartoon rather than Family Guy or the Simpsons (I've tried finding any references those shows did -- no dice). The scene I'm looking for has some character who I guess is kinda dumb (a Homer Simpson-type) talking to some important person at a desk, and they see Gravity's Rainbow on the bookshelf. The dumb guy says, "Oh, I see you have Gravity's Rainbow. Classic." or something like that. And the important guy tries to quiz him because he doesn't believe the dumb guy's read it. "What's your favorite part?" he asks. And the dumb guy replies with something along the lines of, "The ending. I love that part with the, uh... rainbow."

Okay, this is probably going to be really fucking obscure, but I remember having this VHS tape as a kid of this animated movie about these teenagers going into a haunted house. There was an older brother and his group of friends along with his younger brother who had a cold and always had a congested nose. Anyway, they find this magical door that takes them to this world of monsters. The monsters were weird looking; there was a skeleton guy that had a reel on the side of his skull that he would wheel to chomp his jaw. And they had this fighting arena where they all competed. Each kid got a set of monsters (it was sort of like digimon), and they fought each other with them. I think there was even a toilet monster. Eventually the younger brother who had a cold wins the tournament because he made his monsters sick and they couldn't smell the other kid's monster's foul stench that made him keep winning. That's all I really remember but I've a cowered the Internet trying to find it.
