I think the movie spent WAY too much time setting up the backstory, to the point where we're stuck doing nothing for 40 minutes.
We got this badass premise to new fans: a mutant anti-hero that wields dual katanas and guns and shits out "adult" quips. This is all they had to make the movie about, but they shy around this concept for so long, keeping the main point of the story his relationship with his GF, which I'm not saying isn't a good thing to have in his first movie, but c'mon, if we count all the parts of the movie we get
