Help me out here. Am I the only one who thinks that the Marvel movies are now just becoming cash grabs with no plot. I mean....what was Civil War reeaaallly about. The stories aren't there anymore. It's just fight scenes. Right?

I think they are getting better. I think at first they were throwing together movies to build up Avengers. But now they have a universe built and are utilizing it well

it's all about the cold math of box office returns, not telling a story.
don't have too much expectations of the plot anyway. these movies are for people to just shut off their brain for a couple hours and have fun, with families being a prime demographic. there won't be anything in the movies too hard for children to understand.
it's a waste of time to get worked up over this. it's like complaining that nancy drew novels aren't of the quality of moby dick.

the avengers wasn't much plot eaither, but the chracter interaction is the interesting part.
it's good acting, good dialogue, the cgi is fun too.
i can really want to watch a documentary on the danger to sharks and the ecology if i wanted something deep.
for what movies have always been, marvel is top of the game. if you want an art house project, goto an art house.
