Five Nights at Freddys movie continued discussion.
What are your thoughts on it? If you played the games, how well do you think they will translate to a horror film?
I kind of hope that it keeps that tension and mystery from the first game, while keeping jumpscares to a minimum, and hopefully none at all. but knowing hollywood horror, its going to be a big, loud, stupid jumpscarefest

The original game's jumpscares were the losing condition. It was to be avoided.
Of course, the later ones are chock full of them, but you can only hope they go with the stress and looming terror of keeping killer robots at bay

I agree the first game is the only game that actually felt scary. The tension alone is horrifying.
The second one had too much going around and the jump scares were shit due to the fact that all the scares were predictable. The third and fourth were jumscare fests with designs too edgy.
