Wanting to be isn't the problem. TRYING TO BE was the problem. No character had time to develop, except for Magneto, and that would have been fine, except the tone shifted so wildly it was like I was flipping channels.

Nothing really. I enjoyed it more than BvS and Civil War.
One of my fav movies of the year. Wish it was slight longer though to spend more time with the new actors.
I was surprised with how graphic and violent it was for a PG 13 movies.

Some minor things, but nothing too bad, JLaw wasn't even as bad as I thought she would be. Overall, I give the movie 8/10, better than 6.5/10 for that jumbled together mess Civil War.
People just didn't like it because it wasn't full of one liners and wasn't simplistic enough for kids to be into it, although the quicksilver scene was played out (Probably my least favorite part, along with Magneto being seemingly instantly forgiven).
I like how in the end it was Apocalypse's own arrogance that was his downfall, like he didn't realize to treat people better or else they'll betray him, also exposing his mortality.
And the setup for the hopeful Phoenix movie in the future.
Lets make Magneto a Holocaust survivor, see his mother get killed, be tortured as a kid, be responsible for his best friend being paralyzed.....lets just fuck the poor bastard over even more!
