This place is the worst ive ever seen iy in ten years.
Can anyone explain what the hell happened without mentioning any other websites names?
>>71037136
literally is reddit tho came for the got cancer general, stayed to shit all over the board
Fag mods took away our waifus
>>71037136
mainly smartphones became ridiculously affordable people bought their teenage kids one. All they do is post about star wars/capeshit/game of thrones all fucking day
game of thrones, /sp/, baneposting, /v/
in that order too
>>71037191
>that stomach
Eww
>>71037230
What the hell is this chart and whats the source?
>>71037230
how did /sp/ ruin /tv/?
Yes yes /tv/ is shit yes
HOWEVER
>>71037334
Low iq meme spouters
4chan
>>71037370
fair enough, but during the Euros /sp/ has been decent
Moot left and hiroshima neglected the shit out of the place
>>71037334
After their mod blew out their facebook bro culture posting they came here
>>71037181
It happened bwfore GOT, but GOT was the final blow.
Blame Breaking Bad, capeshit, and Baneposting for bringing in /v/ermin, /sp/edditors, Tumblr (Dr. Who) and reddit here.
>>71037454
It happened way before moot left.
>>71037265
What? That's how a regular flat stomach looks with on women. Basically a one pack. Not that you would know being a morbidly obese neck beard yourself.
>>71037136
is fucking right and I'm not talking about the problems this place has had over the past few years, or even the past few months. In the past WEEK or two the board has become complete and utter garbage. I don't even MIND memeposting when it's fun or creative but it hasn't even been THAT anymore. It's just someone just flipped a switch and suddenly every single thread is just nonsense words slapped together in long streams of idiocy with no coherence or thought behind it.
Are the mods doing an "experiment"? Did they stop all moderation/janitoring completely just to see what would happen? Even so, it was still never this bad before.
>>71037136
>worst I've ever seen
you obviously weren't here on Saturday when HOWEVER broke.
>>71037191
Never forget
Reddit caused it
>>71037571
>It's just someone just flipped a switch and suddenly every single thread is just nonsense words
Ive noticed this..wtf
>>71037571
>>71037648
the kiddies have finished school who stayed here from star wars: the farce awakens.
now that theres no school, all their time is focused on shitposting and discussing capeshit/star wars/game of thrones
>>71037230
I haven't seen much baneposting the past week which is strange
>>71037571
>Are the mods doing an "experiment"? Did they stop all moderation/janitoring completely just to see what would happen? Even so, it was still never this bad before.
They're here
The problem is that the new janitor we got only cares about what happens in his game of thrones general
>>71037714
Don't forget the hot new Harry Potter meme that is 15 years old.
>>71037579
/tv/ isn't my main board anymore (it used to be, but obviously not now), what happened?RIP green oval
>>71037781
Literally forced by one emma pleb from the game of thrones generals https://archive.4plebs.org/tv/thread/71022242/#71022576
>>71037916
So it's the janitor. That explains a lot.
>>71037571
>Did they stop all moderation/janitoring completely just to see what would happen?
I've had that thought too, esp since it's not just this board
>>71037951
wouldn't surprise me when faglord made a sticky of 'it aint me'
how do we get hiro to bring the robot here for a month or 2
maybe just for the summer
>>71037972
Its been lax the past two days but they have been deleting threads very slowly. Threads that would be gone in 5 minutes are hanging around for an hour or two
Capeshit, Dr. Who, and game of thrones should all be banned
>>71037951
I don't doubt. In a few hours there will be the same However thread like every day for past week and it'll be nothing but pure shitposting and get to stay up
>>71038057
MAKE a thread about how shitty game of thrones is and your head will spin with how fast it's deleted
starting to think the porn threads are the best time of day on /tv/ because all the underagers get bootyblasted and leave
>>71038144
Porn threads are made by underage plebs and apes still not out of their /b/ phase
The problem is that you're still here after 10 years and you expect shit not to be different.
4chan is generational on a smaller cycle. It's a board for teens to 25 year olds that harbors a few older odds and ends (myself included). You can't expect people 5-10 years your younger to have the same interests/conversations that you have. You can bitch about the shift but you're an old man shouting at clouds.
Rather than complaining, I'd suggest trying to move on.
>>71038184
well I think youre wrong on that
>>71038187
Youre weird
>>71038144
At least in other places, for example /pol/, you can post gore and a lot of the faggots will leave. A similar technique should be used here. There's no deterrent.
>>71038187
t. corporate suit
>>71037454
Moot didn't give a shit about this place. He desperately wanted to distance himself from this shithole.
I don't blame him. He was the only non-anon anon.
God I do miss the relentless trolling. The internet was a lot smaller, then.
More and more the internet, and this place, takes on the values, culture, and discourse of the common man.
There's your answer.
>>71038187
This board, unlike others, seems almost indistinguishable from reddit nowadays. I don't think it's an age problem
>>71038187
To where? Where are there open and anonymous discussion boards on the internet?
Don't say 1+7chan or some other honeypot.
>>71037136
/got/ generals are all Reddit. This isn't a meme either, Reddit literally comes here to talk about Game of Thrones instead of just staying on Reddit.
>>71038406
>or some other honeypot
Honeypot? Are you serious? You post here and call a different website a honeypot...this place is honeypot central
There has been so many supreme gentleman that has gone on rampages after posting here this place is monitored 24/7
>>71038498
it does smell like a raid
You know you guys can just HIDE threads you don't like.
>>71038603
And let the cancer metastasize in the dark? Nah
>>71038603
And yet the shit is spreading into the threads we DO like. There's the problem. Do you understand now?
>>71038381
This board was like reddit before reddit go popular. The same type of people who use reddit use this board, if reddit didn't exist they just would of ended up here. People claim reddit is the cause but its just a symptom and reflection of the internet now
>>71038603
Go back to your epic GoT discussion
>>71038603
You do know that the current state of this board is due to just hiding that shit right?
>>71038650
>>71038668
So you guys can't ignore shit?
>>71038857
Never seen it.
>>71038867
What he said. Cucks hide threads instead of fighting back. Pretty much why the EU is so fucked these days, same principle
>>71037136
Lost ended with one of the worst finales ever and it's all been downhill since.
>>71038881
If I kicked your door down, climbed up onto your kitchen table, and took a shit in your corn flakes, would you "ignore" it?
Fuck off, shitposter. You aren't "protected".
>>71038984
>If I kicked your door down, climbed up onto your kitchen table, and took a shit in your corn flakes, would you "ignore" it?
Of course not but this literally the internet kek just close your eyes or turn off the computer lol
Mods went AWOL all of yesterday and when shitposters realized their "HOWEVER" threads weren't getting deleted that encouraged them to go on a nonstop spree of memeing that hasn't let up.
The only reason /tv/ needs Mods in the first place is because constant influxes of memespouting crossposters have finally reached the point where shitposters make up a majority of the board. /tv/ lost its ability to self moderate and now if it doesn't have near constant supervision by a mod, shit goes out of control within the hour.
>>71038929
Trump posting will save this board
>>71039061
That picture you posted is 100% reddit/9gag
The type of person to save this picture and post it is a low IQ dummy with a shit sense of humor,
Just sayin'
>>71039142
Let's make /tv/ great again.
>>71039194
>My internet hugbox is important to me please stop coming here ;_;
You're worse than tumbrlinas faggot
Waifu was a stopgap, keeping out the trash.
When mods banned waifus saying 'not board culture' and promoted memes saying 'board culture, board culture', /tv/ got flooded with people who came here for the memes, thinking the 'fun' only came from memes, and now it's just memers memeing.
also game of thrones losers
reddit, and baneposting
>>71039285
Youre a stupid person.
>>71039197

Go back to plebbit newfag.
>>71039285
its time to stop posting
>>71039194
Stop fueling the retard.
Baneposting ruined this place tbqh.
Once /tv/ was more about funny epic memes lol and actual discussion took a backseat a bunch of retards and teenagers filtered in and did what they do to every poorly moderated internet community.
>>71038967
This is actually the correct answer. Seasons 3-5 of Lost was the height of /tv/.
>>71039518
Even Baneposting used to actually be funny, though. You can't blame this current state of shit we've been in the past 1-2 weeks on just Baneposting.
Every single website turns to shit, the longer its up, the more exposure it gets and the more people find out about it. The decline in quality happened to Youtube, FB, Myspace, and a shit ton of other websites, its just the nature of the beast. Either the creator turns it to shit, the users, or a combination of both.
>>71039518
If you don't have waifu posting, or something equally autistic to keep the normies out, then there's nothing holding back the unwashed masses, which is where we now find ourselves
>>71037714
>moot himself said traffic doesn't really increase dramatically during the summer
>>71039900
t. summerfag
honestly this board has been in a slow decline for most of the last few years (no, not since the beginning, don't pretend its always been getting worse for some oldfag credit) but i think the last 6-7 months (since tfa) its taken a bunch of blows in (relatively) quick succession; mostly relating to capeshit, (bad) forced memes, bad tv series, and crossposters from other boards and websites reaching a critical mass.
unfortunately it seems like this slow decline (culminating in a 4/10 board but still with flashes) abruptly shifted into total fucking disaster mode in the last week or so (eeriely since "HOWEVER") and now its like a 1.5/10.
ive never said this unironically, but i think its time to consider the idea that summer actually is here, on this board. summer might have actually broke through the containment fields.
i don't know what happens next. the singularity is in range here though, somewhere.
>>71039575
Baneposting actually being funny in the beginning is missing the point, it was just the tipping point where memes became the major currency of what was posted here instead of actual discussion. It just attracted an audience who was just interested in memeing which is what has destroyed this place. It's completely past repair at this point because there isn't even anything good enough to salvage.
Idk what you're talking about in terms of the last two weeks. This place has been a semi-readable abortion for like 2 years and nothing in the last few weeks is that much worse than the norm now.

TORtanic caused a large subset of anons to develop a dopamine addiction centred around the expectation and realisation of failure.
These literal drug addicts have increasingly driven away quality posters and undermined healthy discussion with their relentless pessimism and shitposting in the fruitless pursuit of unachievable new highs.
>>71037136
People have been going on about how 4chan was better before since 2004. It's a garbage website and it has always been shit, and will always be shit. It's just different kinds of garbage, and when the novelty of the garbage of the month wears off you see it for what it is. This is especially apparent with the "X used to be my main board, but now it isn't" posts.
A CIA agent falls in love with Bane.
Unable to confess, he is gifted by a deus ex machina with the big guy's phone number. Never minding the strange area code, he immediately calls him, and is overjoyed to find out that he has a crush on him as well.
But, the next day, when he engages in banter with the masked terrorist and asks what happens if he takes off his mask, he says it would be very painful. The CIA agent says he's a big guy, then the big guy answers, "FOR YOU."
Confused by these turn of events, the CIA agent investigates and finds out that the man he called is not the same man he fell in love with. In fact, he doesn't exist in this universe at all. He is the big guy's alternate universe counterpart, who has fallen in love with the MC's own AU self, who too is blissfully unaware of his crush.
Hijinks ensue as the two strike up a deal to give each other their darkest, most private secrets in order to equip the other with the weapons they need to conquer the heart of their other selves. While the two chase their respective loved ones, DRAMA ensues as they begin to fall in love with each other instead and question the NATURE of PAIN.
The most active boards on 4chan are /b/, /pol/, /v/, and /tv/. The overlap of activity is almost 70%.
It isn't a mystery.
>>71037136
Waifucaust killed /tv/.
The internet that you grew up with is old, but you're still expecting it to be like it was when you were young. The landscape of the people online has changed. The new generation have ruined everything. Are there any websites/forums where fun is still allowed that isn't /r/opieandanthony?
>>71041096
>This board is afraid of me...I have seen its true face. The threads are extended Reddit and the Reddits are full of shit and when the threads finally reach bump limit, all the vermin will disappear. The accumulated sacrilege of all their phoniness and idiocy will foam up about their fat guts and all the attention whores, mods, janitors, and the owner himself, will look up and shout "Save us!"... and I'll look down and whisper "No".
-- Anon, the righteous.
>I am tired of 4chan, these people. I'm tired of being caught in the tangle of their threads.

No. This is absolutely fucking untrue. You can see reddit from a mile away even when it is subtle. You'd know if you haven't spent a significant amount of time there which you have. Any oldfags know this. I went from totse, sometimes 4chan, to zoklet. But reddit. Fucking unbearable. You all need to stop treating 4chan like it's a shitting place on the internet. Yeah we get it 'asshole of the internet' and all that. Don't take it literally dumbasses. reddit doesn't understand the concept of 'lurk the fuck moar' and this is why people complain.
