Hussars man, avoid a fight with them at all costs. They are men who are heavy cavalry because all they ever wanted to be are heavy cavalry.
A properly trained cavalry force (read: not idiots who throw themselves into the enemy) is very effective at slicing at the flanks of a force and then retreating. This repeated assault is very effective at destroying morale and sending inexperienced footmen into a rout; which results in all of them being trampled/slaughtered as they flee.
